Chapter 7, Brother Saved Me?

I wake up dry and in a bright white room. I shut my eyes then I open them again. "River!" Alexander gasps. I look at him with confusion and surprise. "What... happened daddy?" I ask softly. he pull me to him rocking me. "You were about to drown and then... then your brother saved you!" he says sounding surprised. "H-he saved me?" I ask surprised also. "Yes, some strange reason. He says he wants to speak to you... alone, Is that okay?" he asks. I nod after a moment and he places a quick kiss one my forehead and walks out of the room.

My brother walks in and he tilts his head. "You... saved me?" I ask. he nods and walks over taking a seat next to me. "River, I'm so sorry. I wish I hadn't lay a finger on you. I-I just thought it would make me look cool for the pack. I didn't want to hurt you. I-I am so sorry." he says voice cracking. I watch him with my head tilted slightly. "It's okay." I say after deciphering what he said. he pulls me into a hug whispering thank you over and over.

I lay my head on his shoulder and I smile. "Can I have... ice cream?" I ask after a moment. He pull back chuckling. "Sure kiddo. I'll send Alpha Alexander in." he says ruffling my waist long golden ringlets of hair. I watch as he leaves and Alexander steps in immediately. "Did he hurt you? Are you okay?" he keeps shooting questions as he hurries to my bed. after a few second I put my hand over his mouth and he blinks surprised. "He said sorry. He won't hurt me anymore." I say giggling.

 a hint of mischief went through his eyes and I pull my hand back wrinkling my nose. "Daddy! Ew! You licked me, I got daddy cooties!" I squeal wiping my hand on his face. He chuckles lifting me up from the bed and I huddle into his chest. "where did your brother run off to?" he asks. "To get Ice-cream!" I says giggling. "Ice-cream?" he asks amusement in his voice. I nod my head as he walks out carrying me with him.

Just as he get in the living room Mike comes back holding three ice-cream cones. I stare at them with surprise and he hands one to me then Alexander keeping one for himself. mine was strawberry with sprinkles, Alexander's was chocolate, and Mike's was Vanilla with chocolate chips. we eat our ice-cream in a comfortable silence on the couch. Mira and two girl about the age of five walk in holding a bagel each and they blink at us. "Hi Mira, Hi Alice and Alicia." Alexander greets. "Hey." Mira says. "Hi!" The twins say simultaneously. the boys shudder slightly including Mira but I just tilt my head. "Hi." I say softly. the twins blink at me as if just noticing I was here. "Mommy who is she?" The girl on the right asks. "That's River you two." Mira says sitting next to Mike. the girls eye go wide and they tilt their heads.

"Hi river! I'm Alice, And this Is Alicia." the girl on the right says. "Hi." I say again. the boys run from the room and we stare after them. silence envelopes the room and I tilt my head confused. "Where are they going?" I ask. "Alpha and Gamma Work River." Mira says. "Oh." Alice, Alicia, and I say at the same time. Mira stares at us with a grin and we all giggle. "Come on girls, let's go shopping." Mira says. "Yay!" the girls say. I smile slightly and Mira takes my hand and leads us outside.

Uh, Shorter I know. But it is worth it right?
She's happy, I surprised you all with her brothers apology.

Everything is good... lol
