Chapter 19, new dada?
Lovers eyes - Mumford and sons
Alexander leaps forward as a large midnight black wolf and dashes at me. I yelp and try scramble away but he already had me pinned down. I try to twist from grip and fail miserably. "River, river." he chants. Every name he called it was louder.
I jerk up shaking and i see the other alpha's head in my teary vision. "Sh. Its okay River. The pack doctor here said you can shift into human tomorrow." he says.
I whimper and blink the tears away. I feel him lay next to me and i curl up next to him. "Sleep. It'll do us both good." he murmurs with a yawn.
I shut my eyes and curl up tightly. He grunts and i hear a thump and i scramble up and i peer at him in the floor. "Hi." he says. I let out fox like giggles and i fall on top of him with a squeak.
We erupt in laughter and i roll off him.
I stand up and he sits up. "Come on. Back to bed." he says putting me on the bed. I lay down on a spare pillow curled up and he gets in next to me.
I let myself doze off with a small yawn.
I was running from a black wolf in human from i tripped and i whimper scrambling up. The large black wolf tackles me from behind. I hit the ground with a thud and i whimper. "River!" he begins chanting again.
I jerk awake with a shudder. The alpha was holding me in his arms watching me with worry. "Come on River. Lets get you to the pack doctor for a check up." he says. Standing from the floor.
I cuddle into his chest as he walks out the door. I'm carried into an infirmary and a guy looks up. "Alpha. Um... River." he says nodding to us. The alpha sets me on the table and i tilt my head. "Alpha. Do you know her age and date of birth?" the guy asks. "No Ricky." the alpha says. "River do you know your and and day of birth?" he asks. I nod and he tilts his head. "Will you shift for me?" he asks. I shift on my feet uncomfortable. "Would you like A female to help with your shift?" he asks. I nod and he tilts his head with his eyes glazing over. "Okay. My mate is coming. Alpha mind if we speak in private?" he asks. The alpha nods and they walk out leaving me on the table.
I sit patiently until a woman at least the age of twenty five walks in. "You must be River. Shift for me please." she says gently. I shift into me human form and she gasps. "Oh dear! What happened?" she asks helping my into some jeans and a pink sweater.
"Ill call them in. Alpha seemed quite worried for you when he brought you here yesterday." she says her eyes glazing over.
A few minutes later The alpha and the guy walks in.
"Hey River. Can you answer my questions truthfully?" he asks. I nod and he smiles slightly. "How old are you?" he asks. "I'm three." i say still sitting on the table. "When is your birthday?" he asks. "May the third." i say. He nods and look down at the clip board writing down my answers.
"What pack were you from before Alpha Alexander?" he asks. "The Hollow cry pack." i says looking at the ground. He glances at me and i feel the Alpha's searching gaze on my head.
"Okay... This should be good." the guy says. "Have you been injured?" he asks. I nod and glance up at the alpha who was trying to search my gaze. I look away quickly and put my gaze to my lap. "By who?" the man asks. "My parents... And my pack." i say softly. "So you've been abused?" he asks. I nod slightly and he sighs. "Any siblings?" he asks. I nod. "Who?" he asks. "Mike." i say voice trembling slightly. "What happened to him?" he asks. "He died saving me against my old alpha." i murmur. "When?" he asks. "Three days ago..." i say softly. I see the alpha send me a look of pity. "I'll... Leave you with the alpha for a moment. Come on Lynn." he says. The girl and guy walk out and the Alpha crouches in front of me. "Are you okay?" he asks gently. I shrug. He lifts my chin to make me look at him and i do with tear filled eyes.
"You miss Mike?" he asks. I nod and he pulls me a hug. "Let it out." he murmurs. I release all my grief into his shoulder with body wracking sobs.
He rubs my back gently murmuring words of comfort. After a while i doze off with him rubbing my back and his words of comfort.
