I wake up curled on someone's lap. I glance up to see the other alpha typing on a computer. "Good morning River." he says glancing down at me.
"Morning." I murmur. He continues his work as i lay here studying the office. It was slightly bigger than Alexander's office with light turquoise walls and white marble flooring.
The furniture was light leather or wooden and there were many bookshelves stacked with books. I stretch and he helps me stand on the cold marble floor. "Go explore kiddo." he says ruffling my golden locks of hair.
"Explore where?" i ask. "The pack house. Anywhere really. My guards will watch over you." he says looking at me. I merely shrug putting my thumb in my mouth and out the door hesitantly.
I glance around the huge hallway that was basically empty except the few guard along the walls and the occasional man or woman passing by quickly.
I tilt my head and look around. Stairs lead to one side and the other had multiple doors. I make my way to the stairs and i feel the stares of the guards on my back.
I emerge into a huge room filled with adults and teenagers and some children roaming about. I shuffle into the corner watching in silence as two bulky men rush past me.
I glance around before entering a room. It was a living room. On TV was a couple of figures doing the tango. I walk out and i nearly bump into an elderly lady. "Sorry." i murmur moving to the side.
"No trouble dearie. you must be the new kid here. I am Lin. At least someone apologizes like you do." she says smiling and entering the Tango TV room.
I shuffle into the kitchen and a woman bustles about making something that smelled amazing.
"Hello dear. Whatcha need? Water? Snack?" she asks. "Neither. Thanks though." i say looking around. "Okay. Leave Chef Erica to cook some lunch." She says chopping onions in swift motions.
I exit with a small giggle and into a room with books lining the walls and tables lined up. The familiar man from before was standing flicking through a book. He sniffs and turns to me.
"Oh... Hello." he says. "Hi." i say thumb still in my mouth. "Do you know me?" he asks. I tilt my head and i shrug. "I don't know... You are... Familiar though." is all I say. He only nods. "I am Andrew... Your other brother." he says carefully. That had me confused. "My... Other brother?" i ask. "Yes. Mike, Collen, and I. Collen is the Beta here... I am head warrior. Collen is at the moment asking for alliances with other packs. He should be back tomorrow." he says. "Oh." i say.
"Tell me what you want to hear. Anything from our wretched parents to well... Anything." he says grabbing my hand and taking me to a table he sets me into a chair and crouches next to me.
"Why were they hurting me?" i ask. "I have no answer to that. They never hurt me or the others. They probably wanted another male not female." he says. " what were they like?" i asks.
"They were alcoholics and druggies. They'd get into plenty of trouble... That's all they would do." he says. "Oh... Where are they now?" i ask.
"In the dungeons. I found them a few weeks ago." he says. I tilt my head and he smiles slightly. "I'll make sure to protect you and I'm sure Collen will too." he says smiling.
"Okay." i say leaning on his shoulder. "How did Alexander find you?" he asks me. "I ran from them. I... I shifted into a fox..." i say. "A fox?" he asks. I nod and he grins. "You're a guardian." he says. "A... Guardian?" i ask.
"A guardian is a rare werewolf. One is a werecat. One a normal werewolf. And one werewolf that shifts into a fox. You will have certain powers and when you reach of the true age of a shift your fur color and eye color of your fox will change." he says. "Oh." i say
He smiles slightly. "Have you yet to explore the place?" he asks. "I explored a little." i say shrugging. Andrew tells me more about this pack and about natural things like rogues and positions.

My apologies for not updating sooner. Vacation was literally hours of looking around. I only managed to get pictures of the River at Sidney James from our balcony.

This chapter is shorter then my 1k words....
My creative juices are slurring with a headache every now and then. Luckily orange Juice saves the day.
