Chapter 15 getting ready

I wake up curled in Alexander's side while he lay across the couch. the room was silent except for our breathing and his snores every now and then. I roll off the couch with squeak then giggles. Alexander peer down me with a yawn and chuckles. "Hello sleepyhead." he says yawning as i stand. "Good morning Dada." I say stretching. "Hmm, it's evening." he says. He jumps up immediately making me jump back a bit startled.

"Sorry, Let's get you all ready for your pack ceremony, and your announcement. Just do as i say. Okay?" he asks. i nod and he lifts me to his hip. I rest my head on his shoulder and he takes me to his room. he set me onto the ground and starts a hot bath. "You'll be wearing a white gown, and silver fabric. not real silver." he adds when he sees my feared expression. i nod and he helps me out of my clothes. he sets me in and begins to clean being careful in case he hurt me.

"When's your birthday River?" he asks after a moment. "Hmm... what's today's month?" i ask. "April the third." he says. "Oh. May... the third." i say giggling. He chuckles and shampoos my hair with Fresh water scented shampoo and conditions my hair with Pine smelling conditioner. He helps me out and dries me off. "What hairstyle do you want?" he asks. I shrug and he starts braiding my hair into a Dutch Braid.

I tilt my head slightly. "When did you learn braids?" i ask giggling. "I have a mom. And a sister. How else?" he asks smiling.
