Chapter 14

Joe's POV:

Me and Marcus had been talking for a while now. Just about anything really. But I felt like it was still on his mind, because it was on mine. Zoe and Niomi had gone to grab us food so I decided I should tell him. "Okay." I sighed. "I'll tell you. Just please, please don't tell anyone?" I asked him and he nodded. "So... I got with Charlotte. You know, Caspar's cousin? And well, when she got out of the hospital nearly two months ago, she came to stay at mine." I started. "Yeah, what's so bad about that?" He asked. "Well, I snuck out, two nights ago, because Conor asked me out for a drink and well... I just got too drunk, and cheated on her." I admitted. "Oh Joe." Marcus sighed. "I got back the next morning and when I came out of the bathroom, she questioned me about a thong in my pocket. Now Caspar hates me. My dad won't and hasn't spoke to me in about a year. It's my fault she was in the crash and lost her memory and Zoe had no idea about us."

He stayed quiet a minute and just looked down. "We're back!" We heard the girls shout from the other room and so we went through. Marcus still not saying anything. "Marcus? You okay? You seem a little... distracted." Zoe asked and Naomi agreed. I looked at Marcus and he just nodded his head towards the girls. "Yeah fine, just a lot on my mind." He lied and we continued to eat.

Marcus' POV:

I didn't expect Joe would be this type of guy. Someone that cheats on his girlfriend? I know he was drunk but. I don't even know what to do or say. It keeps going round and round in my head. I don't understand why Alfie hates him though. I need to speak to him. But I can't leave now. Can I? "Guys, I'm going for a walk, clear my head. I'll be back soon." I kissed Nim's head and went out the door and headed for Caspar and Alfie's flat.

I soon arrived and knocked on the door. "Hey Alfie? Can I talk to you?" I asked as he opened the door. He nodded nervously and invited me in. "I spoke to Joe. He told me everything. But why do you hate him? He's really depressed you know Alfie." I told him. "I don't care. There's something nobody knows, only me and Charlotte. And I can't forgive him after he hurt her. I knew he would and he fucking did Marcus." Alfie admitted. "What is it?" I asked confused.

"Hold on." He ran off and minutes later came back with some items in his hand and Charlotte following closely behind. "Charlotte you know Marcus don't you?" He asked her and she nodded. "Hey Charlotte, how are you?" I asked and she pulled her sleeve down seeming slightly anxious and nervous. "I'm okay thanks you?" She spoke and sat down besides Alfie. "It's okay. He won't mind." Alfie spoke soothingly to her and I looked puzzled. "It's nothing." she shook us off and Alfie handed me the items. "What are these?" I asked. "We're only telling you because Caspar's out okay?" Alfie asked and I nodded.

"Caspar thinks we met when Charlotte moved in but that's a lie. We were best friends when we kids. From about 2 till about 12? That's when Charlotte moved to Leeds and I never heard from her again. We were like brother and sister. Always there for each other. Closer than anyone. That's why I was so pissed off when Joe hurt Charlotte and why I hate him." He started. "Ohh." I commented. "I was so worried when the accident happened. I visited a few times. But nobody knew and thought we were just new friends so I didn't have much of a reason to go, although I wanted to." Alfie spoke and hugged Charlotte.

"So... I told Zoe to choose, me or him." I was shocked. First Joe. Now Alfie? What was happening?

A/N Sorry this is so short guys! I just wanted to get an update up for you guys. I'm so sorry I've been really bad at updating lately too. I've had a lot to do and a lot on my mind and have been trying my best to update. Just haven't been able too. Will try my best from now on though.
