Chapter 32

"Here is your healthy baby girl Charlotte, congratulations." The midwife said as she handed me Olivia. I was in tears as Tanya, Jim and Caspar reentered the room, after Tan had left to get Jim and Caspar from the waiting room, and they too were all in tears. "Hey guys, meet little Olivia born at 10:32am at 6lb 7oz. Want to hold her?" I laughed and the three nodded their heads eagerly and so I handed Olivia to Caspar, then Tan and Jim as they cooed and cried over the newborn.

A couple hours later everyone was getting ready to leave as it was almost 3pm and I hadn't slept in over 24 hours. "Message when you wake up if you want any company, don't worry about the time honey." Tan smiled as she and Jim came over to hug me and Olivia goodbye. "Actually is it alright if I have a quick word with Tan and Jim Caspar?" I asked and he nodded. "Of course. text if you need anything." He smiled and came to kiss me and Olivia goodbye before walking out and leaving the 4 of us. "I need to ask you something. Well two things actually." I admitted. "Okay go ahead." Jim smiled as Olivia began to get fussy. "Sorry! Do you mind if I feed her while we talk?" I asked. "No carry on." Jim smiled, I could tell he was in awe of Olivia, which was good considering what I was about to ask of the couple.

"Okay firstly, I wanted to ask you about what you though of the situation between Joe and I, please be honest. I ask because I'm considering at least sitting down with him to talk, and see if we can work things out because I do still love him." I explained. "I think it's up to you and if you feel you can talk to him and forgive him that's great. I also think that given a second chance after the things you've both gone through might allow for a much stronger relationship between the two of you as you could use each other. He could also be a great father figure for Olivia?" Jim suggested. "I agree. I also know he feels guilty about what happened and still loves you, so he'd do anything to get you back." Tan spoke. "Okay I'll speak with him." I agreed as I took Olivia and began to burp her. "The other thing is, and you can say no I would understand-" "Spit it out Lee." Tan laughed. "I'm not religious or anything but after the trouble with the pregnancy and past, I was wondering if you would consider being Olivia's godparents. I've thought about it a lot and it's always been you. I can understand if your past might mean you don't want to, but I'd love it if you could. I don't have much family other than Cas so you're the closest thing to blood. You're the perfect role models for her and I'd rest easy knowing she'd be safe with you two." I asked them, anxious of the answer. They looked at each other then back at me. "Of course! We'd be honoured. We love her." Tan replied and jumped up to hug me. "Thanks guys." I smiled and hugged Jim too. "Right we better let you get some rest. We'll see you soon. Rest." Jim spoke and I nodded as they said goodbye to me and Olivia and left the room. I turned over and went to sleep.

Around 45 mins later I woke up to Olivia's crying so I sorted her out and minutes later a nurse came in. "Hi, I heard Olivia crying so thought I'd check on you both. How you feeling?" She asked me. "Okay, sore and tired." I admitted. "Might I suggest letting me take her to the nursery for a while to let you rest? I promise she'll be fine and I can bring her back as soon as you wish." She suggested. "Okay, just for a couple hours." I agreed. "Okay." She smiled. I kissed Olivia's head, handed her to the nurse and lay back down as they exited the room.

Around 5 hours later I woke up and the same nurse entered the room as if on cue. "Hi, I came in an hour ago to bring dinner but you were sleeping so I thought I'd wait. Would you like it now? I also think Olivia's ready for her next feed." The nurse spoke. "Please. I feel bad for sleeping so long, was she okay?" I asked. "She was an angel. I'll go get her and then your dinner." She spoke. "Thank you... sorry I don't think I know your name." I replied. "It's Jane." She smiled. "Thank you Jane." I replied again as she left the room to get my daughter.

Time dragged after dinner so I picked up my phone and messaged Tan, Jim, Cas and Zoe to see who was available to keep me company. They all replied so I said they could all come for a while, the boys had to be up early though so agreed to leave before Tan and Zoe. Zoe was first to arrive and had some time to meet Olivia before the others arrived. "C, she's gorgeous. Yo're going to be amazing." She smiled. "Thanks. Listen I'm considering sitting down with Joe if he will soon to talk, so could you casually bring this up to him in the next few days? Please, just so it's not such a shock if I go to meet him." I asked her. "Of course, cooing over babies is my favourite thing to do." She laughed as the others walked through my hospital door. She handed Liv back to me as they all took a seat. "Thanks for keeping me company guys." I smiled. "I'm only here for this little one." Jim laughed. "Hey!" I replied acting hurt. "I'm kidding!" He replied again as we all laughed lightly. "Here you go uncle Jim." I smiled and held Olivia out for him to hold, and he gladly took her from me. "Around 6 or 7 months and we'll have one of our own hun." He looked at her in awe. "We will Jimbob, and I think he will be just like you." Tan laughed as they kissed. "See I think she'll be a little princess, but Tan thinks it'll be a boy. What do you guys think?" Jim asked. "Girl." Zoe said simply. "Girl." Caspar agreed. "I agree with Tan, I think boy." I said. "I guess we'll have to wait and see." Tan smiled as she took Olivia from Jim. "Everything will be fine, you'll have a little friend soon little Olivia." She smiled and kissed Liv's head as she tried to hide a tear rolling down her cheek. "We'll be fine, and we'll be together." Jim hugged her and comforted his wife as she cried lightly and minutes later she'd calmed once more. "You'll both be amazing." I added in as Tan handed Liv to Caspar.

A while later the boys left and it was just me, Liv, Tan and Zoe. "So, what are you going to say to Joe?" Tan asked as she rocked Liv. "I'm just going to let him speak and then if he wants to and I still want to, see if we can give it another shot. There's nothing I can prepare or know until I sit down face to face with him." I explained. "Speaking of my brother, I told him about Liv, he said 'I hope they're both well and maybe I could meet her one day even though she's not mine. I bet she's beautiful like her mom and I know Charlotte will be a great mom. Send them my best and congratulations to Charlotte.' I just replied to him." Zoe read and I began to cry a little. "Hey what's up C?" Tan asked. "Nothing nothing. Just my hormones out of sorts. Zo can you just thank him and say we're well." I asked and she nodded and began typing once again. I do miss him and now I really do hope we can mend things so I can have him back in my life.

A/N Okay, so I definitely have some explaining to do. I'm so sorry it's been 2 whole years since I last updated this, and I can understand if no one cares anymore and this gets no reads. I went through a lot of shit when I stopped updating and it took a lot to want to get back into writing, but I finally decided it was time and so here I am. Not only am I finally updating this but I also have a new book called 'You'll Never Be Alone' which is a fanfic about Shawn Mendes if anyone reading this is interested.
