Chapter 30

Alfie's POV:

I honestly can't believe what's happened to Charlotte. She's gone through so much and now her life could be in danger. I can't believe she can be so strong. I walked to my car and hopped in. It's a 45 minute drive to the airport and it's 12:45.

I drove to starbucks to grab a drink and some food and then headed to the airport to get Caspar.

It's now 2 and I'm standing at arrivals waiting for Caspar to walk through. His plane just landed and he only has hand luggage so he shouldn't be long, I'll then drive him straight to see Charlotte and she can tell him everything.

He finally walked out and a look of confusion spread across his face as I walked towards him.

"Hey Cas!" I said and he hugged me.

"Hey Alf. What are you doing here?"

"I'm picking you up. Have you not checked your phone? We been trying to reach you since 3am."

"It died and I lost my charger, why, what happened?!"

"Just come with me, you'll find out when we get there."
"Get where?!"

"The hospital."

Caspar's POV:

"The hospital." Alfie said and I began to worry.

"The hospital?! What happened?! Who is it?!"

"It's Charlotte but she can tell you when we get there just come on." He grabbed my arm and we ran towards his car.

What could have happened now!?

We finally arrived at the hospital an hour later and I ran ahead. Alfie soon caught up and told me where to go as I ran off. I soon got to Charlotte's room and barged in to see her and Tan hugging on the bed and Jim with his head in his hands. Tan noticed me and shook Charlotte.

"Hey Charlotte, look who's here." She turned around and smiled weakly. She looked like she'd been crying for a long while and her tear stained cheeks proved it.

"Caspar!" She yelled and Tan moved so I could hold her.

"Hey hey, what happened are you okay?" I asked slightly alarmed at the people in the room.

"Where were you?! We tried to get you all night, I really needed you."

"I'm sorry, I'm so sorry. My phone died and I lost my charger and I was in the airport and I was boarding the plane so I couldn't get one. What happened?"

"I lost Oliver. I lost my baby boy. Olivia's okay though, for now." She sobbed into my shirt.

"I'm so sorry, I should have been here. What, for now?! What do you mean, for now?!" I was now crying too.

"I have placenta previa. It could kill me and Olivia. I have the option to abort but I can't do that. I want to risk it, for Olivia's sake."
"I'm here for you, no matter what happens you'll always have me by your side and i'm not going anywhere."
"Thank you Cas." I held her tight as she sobbed some more into my shirt. I drew small circles on her back reassuring her everything would be okay. But to be honest, I wasn't completely sure if I was reassuring Charlotte or myself.

Soon Jim and Tanya had to leave and it was just me and Charlotte. Joe had texted me asking if we could meet however I politely declined not wanting to leave Charlotte in the state she's in without saying much more to Joe. After what happened when Charlotte went to America, me and Joe had been talking again however I don't think I could ever fully forgive him. Not any time soon.

I was aware of Charlotte's past, what happened with Adam and that he was not right for her however I didn't expect what I was told next, about how he kidnapped her and abused her and raped her. I didn't want to ever let her go from my arms.

She would be released in 2 days just to keep a close eye on her and Olivia and make sure they're healthy to leave. Charlotte was now sound asleep in my arms after silently crying herself to sleep.

I knew she had spoke to Zoe while she was here and that she was coming to see her tomorrow as she was with her Dad today and couldn't get her before visiting hours ended.

I'd also recently spoken to her mom however she didn't want anything to do with Charlotte, after what had happened after their last encounter and she thought Charlotte was some 'attention seeking slut' who was having endless sex to make up for her past.

However we all knew that wasn't true.

A/N: Sorry this is so shit! I just thought this was better than nothing. I've been so busy with school and everything that I completely forgot. I will update as soon as I can.
