I walked into the house after a long day. I set my keys down hearing a funny tune coming from the hallway. I tiptoed quietly to Summers' room. I watched silently as I leaned in the doorway.
"Summer Jane she's loves the rain
She's super cute and her uncles' a hoot.
Summer Jane is such a beautiful name
and we love her." He sang, strumming along on a toy ukulele. My heart robbed me of all sense when I watched Luke sing to Summer.
"Her Uncle Luke is a wonderful guy.
He loves on Summer when she's gonna cryUncle Luke is very fly
and Summer Loves him." Started giggling.I covered my mouth to stifle my laugh.
"Auntie Jane is such a pain
She only really likes champagneAuntie Jane gives uncle migraines
but Summer loves her." I rolled my eyes."Uncle, Auntie and Summer Jane, we can't complain we're family." He plucked off tune as he saw me chuckling in the doorway.
"What, it's Summer's song!" He laughed.
"How long did it take for you to come up with that?" I asked.
"Oh the lyrics just came pouring out. I was inspired." He said sarcastically, picking up Summer.
"I have a few notes..." I added as he approached me leaning over me.
"Maybe if you're nice I'll change them." His eyes drifted to my lips. As my breathing halted. Then he backed away.
"You hungry Summer Jane?" He smiled softly belting the song down the hallway.
