Kris' P.O.V.
"Jess, you haven't eaten anything yet. You didn't even tried to eat the breakfast you ordered earlier. Are you sure you're fine?" I asked while quickly matching my pace with hers, after she received the rumors of us dating she quickly ordered her secretary to file a press conference to clarify everything between the two of us and the company.
"Jess, you don't need to do this. I'll talk to them, I promise just don't force yourself" I tried to pursuade her not to go to the pres conference hall but she still insists. She grabbed the car keys from me and quickly went to the driver's seat, I grabbed her shoulders to turn her around.
"Kris please, you need to understand. I won't speak if the rumors only involves the two of us, if it only talks about us dating but I saw some headlines about Ace. Saying that he's only adopted, I was a prostitute before that's why I'm a single mom, everyone says that he isn't my son. And it pained me Kris, Ace isn't involved on this case. They don't have to dig up my past, saying that Ace was made because of a mistake. Kris, I need you to help me on this. Ace needs you. I need you, so please" Jess tried to break free from me and starts throwing punches on my chest. I held her arms and hugged her once again, I don't want to see her like this.
"I'll drive, go to the other side" She smiled lovingly and nods her head, her eyes becomes watery but she quickly wipes it with her hand. I held her left hand, assuring her that I'm on her side. I quickly drove to the Blanc and Eclare main comapany building and saw many reporters and camera man waiting, I parked the car on the parking lot, carefully hiding myself from them.
"Jess, you go first. I'll be there in 5 minutes" She unclasped her hand from mine and quickly went inside the building. While waiting, dad called.
"Kris, what's happening here? There are reporters infront of our house, even the Jung's mansion were also surrounded by them. Kris, I'm afraid Ace isn't safe there knowing that everyone is digging Jessica's past up. Clarify everything Kris before it's too late, don't worry we'll keep our mouth shut. It's up to Jess and you" Dad said and quickly ended the call. I took a deep breath and started walking inside the building. Everything needs to end here. Once I entered the main room on the building everyone was quiet and anticipating what Jess' going to say. I was hiding behind a white post yet it's a bit near towards Jessica.
"As you all know, I ordered to have this meeting to clarify some things that all started from some baseless rumors. I wasn't supposed to speak up but when saw some articles about my son, I was totally pushed off to my limits" Jessica said
"What kind of rumors Ma'am?" One reporter asked
"Rumors about someone claiming that Ace isn't my child. Ace is not involve in Kris and I's case, his case as my child is very far from my case in dating this batchelor"
"Then who is his father? Is it true that you're dating Kris? I thought you wanted to clarify everything? But I guess you just only made the problem worse" another reporter asked. I sensed something wrong from Jess, she slowly stood up and faced everybody. She almost tripped when her legs felt a little weak, she held on the table of support.
"Ace, my son isn't involved in this" with that, I quickly ran in the middle of the room. Jess was about to faint when I suddenly catched her in my arms, preventing her to fall on the floor.
"Jess you're pale" the flashes of he camera's blinded my eyes yet it doesn't matter to me. Jessica is the only thing that matters now, her head was rested on my chest and her breath was seemingly unstable. She held my hand and squeezed it a few times before she fully collapsed. I carried her bridal style and went to my car, I quickly sent her to the hospital.
"Kris" I heard my dad called me, I stood up from the bench on the hospital and hugged him. He was with my mom, Krystal and Jessica's parents.
"Daddy" Ace weakly said, I carried him and patted his back many times.
"How did you come here? Did the reporters follow you?" I asked
"No, we tried to sneak away when we heard that Jessica fainted. We watched the press conference and I must say Jessica knows how to answer everything"
"Does he know anything?" I asked Jess' Dad while pointing at Ace
"No, I quickly took his gadgets away when I heard the rumors" Krystal shooked her head and explained
"Kris, where's my daughter?" Mrs. Jung asked
"She's in the emergency room" I replied, the exact time when the doctor walks out of the room.
"Goodmorning Mr. and Mrs. Jung. I've examined your daughter and by the report said by Mr. Kris Wu, your daughter, Jessica, fainted because of too much stress and an empty stomach. So far, we already gave her some vitamins to take and food to eat. She can be discharged on the day after tomorrow, she's in room 109" the doctor said, walking the other way.
