This was suggested a long time ago, but I felt like I didn't really know the character enough to write a one-shot on him, but we did some role play and I'm getting info from that. Hopefully I didn't completely fail! I probably did. :b
This is not my OC, and all credit for him belongs to the original creator, FaithTremlin!
____________________________________________________Mahen's point of view-
Of course I wasn't able to find shelter in time. The sun fell, and the monsters began to lerk about. I wonder how I had forgotten just how many monsters liked lurking in the darkness. But then again, I've been in deep sleep for so many years; I don't really know how many. All I hope is that my son is alright and that my sacrifice wasn't in vain. I could only hope that the white eyed demon hasn't gotten his hands on my beloved son, if he's still alive.
I shook my head, getting rid of the dark thoughts. I know my boy's still out there. I have faith in that. Suddenly, there was loud crack in the dark forest. I spun around, holding out my torch to try to get a glimpse of what was in the darkness. I saw nothing, but I knew that something was out there."Stay calm, Mahen." I said to myself. "It's going to be alright. Just focus on finding you son."
I turned, continuing on. There should be a village not to far from here. Hopefully I correct. I haven't been in these parts of the badlands in so long. I let out a sigh, not being able to help the feeling of boredom, but at least the creepy noises around me will keep me on my feet.
My eyes widened when that frightening noise creeped up behind me. The hissing of a creeper. I swung around, only seeing the creepers face as it glowed white, and I was sent flying black. I laid there in pain as rubble rained from the sky. I held my cape over my head to stop the rubble from hitting me as I sat up.
Getting back up to my feet, I watched the zombies and skeletons beginning to emerge from the darkness. The clattering and groans echoed from the trees. As I turned around, a sharp arrow priced into my shoulder blade. I screamed, turning around again as my hands engulfed in blue light. I lifted up my arm, making me cringe as I cast the spell. Water shot out of my hand with enough force to shatter the skeletons rib cage and spine.
I turned and tried to run, a slight limp in my step. As I ran, I looked behind me, only to run into something as a result. My head turned, looking into the socket and glazed over eye of a zombie. I screamed, stepping back as I slowly reached out it's arm. My torch slipped out of my hand, landing on the ground. The zombie stepped forward onto the blaze, extinguishing the light and leaving me in darkness.
I scampered back, firing another magic blast at the monster. It's groans turned into sounds like a horrible screaming as it was hit, then killed. Another arrow flew in the dark, sliding across my leg and cutting it. I hissed and cringed, turning and firing another magic blast. I listened and watched the glow until my target lit up and fell apart from the blast. I'm starting to regret not bringing a sword.
Another hissing began to get closer. By the time I turned to run, the explosion had already gone off. I flew the air, landing painfully on my side. I hissed, holding my left side in reaction to the pain. I forgot how merciless the night was.
I pushed myself up, pain erupting through out my body once again, nearly making me collapse. Monsters were surrounding me, getting closer at a faster rate than I had expected. I felt frozen for a moment, and in that instant of panic, I held up my arm to use another, more powerful spell.
I fired the blast, a blue light of water and energy firing at the monsters. It was a lot more magic then I had intended. All of the monsters died from the blast, or at least most of them.
The humming of an Enderman rung out behind me. I turned around, not giving any hesitation of looking it in the eyes. It's a relief that Endermen don't attack me, otherwise I'd be screwed right now. I lifted my hand up, hissing as I put my hand over my shoulder to grab the arrow still in my shoulder blade.
My eyes widened when it began screeching like it was provoked. I didn't do anything though... My eyes looked up, sweat rolling down my face. Please don't attack me.
It suddenly teleported away in a mass of Ender particles. It's sound re-emerged behind me, followed by the groans of a zombie as if it were hit. Looking over my shoulder, I saw the Enderman attacking the other monsters that had been creeping behind me. It was incredibly rare to see a monster attack another. I could only wonder what had set the Enderman off."Good." I mumbled, spinning on my heals and continued to run.
...The village is right there behind walls. I kept running, gasping for breath. My arm reached out, desperate to just stop and rest before I collapsed. I had to take out a few more monsters here and there, and already my mana was running dangerously low.
I choked and took a step back as something pulled on my cape. I turned around, seeing a bowless skeleton grabbing onto my cape. I gasped, hearing the fabric beginning to tear. Growling, I lifted up my hand and fired a powerful water blast at it.
It fell apart, unfortunately leaving a small rip in my cape. The glowing around my hand stopped, as I became light headed and dizzy. I've used up too much mana.
I stumbled to the village, managing to get behind it's gates. The world kept blurring as I limped to the market, hoping to get a health potion for my wounds. Leaning on a stand, I put my arms on the wood, and took in and let out deep breaths."Sir, are you alright?" A deep voice said to my left.
I looked up, my eyes widening. He gasped, taking a step back as his eyes widened as well. I recognized that life force anywhere. I had hoped to feel that life force again for so long. Turning, I held out my hand.
He took a step away from me, obviously shocked to see another hybrid like himself. Did he remember me? He just an infant when I lost him. A smile spread on my face as my eyes teared up. He's gotten so big, but...why is his eye white?"D-dad?" He stuttered.
My vision was growing black with spots. I pushed myself off of the stand, trying to get closer to my lost, and now found son. I was able to grab some fabric of his shirt, feeling how soft it felt.
"Dr-Drake..." I gasped out with my shallow breath.
My hand slipped off of the fabric as my body ran out of strength. I fell to my knees, still smiling with the knowledge that my son was alive. I looked at his shocked and scared expression, as he watched me collapse. The world was engulfed in black as I passed out.
