Spoil Me --- part 2

An outstandingly handsome face strode in a hurried steps. The guards could clearly see the anxiety written all over his face. Without giving him any trouble, they let him through smoothly. They knew who he was after all. They received a grateful nod as their rewards from the stoic with a haughty air Marquis.

Although the relationship of the Emperor and the Marquis had been a public secret, the good-looking Marquis seemed to stay out of troublesome matters by not coming too often to the Palace. If he happened to come, usually because the Emperor had called for him or most of the time, tricked him to come. They assumed it as trick since the Marquis usually left the Palace with a grumpy expression accompanied by the seemingly greatly amused Emperor.

Lu Cang didn't pay attention at the guards who looked at him with a curious eyes. All of his focus was on Jing.

This morning, he received a message saying that the Emperor was sick. Due to all respect, given Jing's personality and physical strength, ---Jing was ridiculously healthy and lively even though he spent all night in that vigorous and life consuming exercise, the highest probability was, Jing playing another prank on him. Naturally, Lu Cang would ignore such unreliable and suspicious message.

However, after the third messenger came and asked for his presence in the Palace, anxiety slowly crawled in Lu Cang's heart. Usually, if Lu Cang refused to show up, rather than sending a mere messenger, if not coming to drag Lu Cang to the Palace himself, he would send Xiao GuiZi to fetch Lu Cang. In this notion, Lu Cang couldn't help but believe that this time Jing might be seriously sick.

As soon as he spotted Xiao GuiZi, he immediately asked him about Jing, however, with face as white as paper, voice trembling from worry, Xiao GuiZi only said that the Imperial Physician still doing a thorough check up on His Majesty.

Both of them waiting nervously outside the Emperor's chamber. The Imperial Bodyguards who stood on guard almost couldn't stand their walking and fro. ---Both Lu Cang and Xiao GuiZi walked for several steps in opposite direction before turned around and repeated the cycle again and again.

After waiting for half an hour, three Imperial Physicians coming out from the chamber. Cold sweat could be seen all over their worn out and pale faces. Upon the sight of Lu Cang, their eyes widened for a while before they lowered their gaze as if feeling sorry. One by one, they patted Lu Cang's shoulder, making Lu Cang confused all the more.

"What is actually happened to His Majesty? What kind of illness that he suffered?"

They only sighed with regret. "His Majesty... His condition is so bad... We are afraid, we don't have the cure for his illness."

"What?! But...But... You all are the best, aren't you? You should help him. You are the Imperial Physician."

The chief of Imperial Physician gave Lu Cang a disapproved eyes. "We are not the God. We can't determine whether someone can be saved or not. We can only do our best in helping people."

Lu Cang realized that he had been too harsh. "I am sorry..."

The Imperial physician let out another heartfelt sigh. "You have to keep His Majesty in the best of mood. Sometimes, when the patient mood is elated, their physic will get better as well."

A younger Imperial Physician, seemingly the apprentice of the chief of the Imperial Physician fixed his unreadable eyes on Lu Cang. "Lord Lu, Please do your best!"
