A Day Without the Emperor...

In the middle of a bustling Tong'an, Lu Cang walked with the best of mood he ever had. His smile never left the corner of his lips.

Today...for the first time after entering the Palace, finally he could taste the flavor of freedom.

Last week, in one of their silly games, Jing was caught red-handed cheating. ---They were competing in who could eat the spiciest food and Lu Cang caught Jing using his Qi to dilute the spicy taste from his system.

Because of that, Lu Cang automatically became the winner. The prize was, as what Lu Cang had set from the beginning, he was granted a pass for twenty-four hours of freedom, ---though Lu Cang demanded a full week. Meaning, within this twenty four hours, he could venture to wherever and do whatever he wanted, ---within the Capital of course. And Jing had promised him that he wouldn't be around Lu Cang on his free day. Lu Cang couldn't help but to have a slight doubt about Jing keeping his promise.

Whatever... Lu Cang had to wisely use this precious hard to get day to the fullest.

Stopping for a while, Lu Cang threw his gaze at his surrounding, to check whether Jing kept his word or not. After making sure that neither Ding Peng nor Mu Yue followed behind, he continued his merry light steps to a restaurant nearby to have a drink.

As he leisurely strolled along the main street, Lu Cang was faced with a rather unusual circumstance. Everywhere, as far as his eyes could see, he saw happy couples that gave him weird looks. Like it was weird for a man to walk alone in this vast and prosperous city.

'What!! Just because I am alone now, it doesn't mean I don't have a lover!'

Lu Cang seethed inwardly for the insolent look they gave him.

At first, he just plainly ignored them. But the further he walked, the more he saw the insults emitting from the couple's eyes.

Couldn't stand it anymore, Lu Cang stopped in front of Tonghua Tower, a place that provided every kind of entertainment. Before he could decide, three well-built men walked passed him and talked loudly while entering the Tower.

"I heard that the former Celestial Flower, Yu Rong, has become the new procuress."

"Yeah... That's the reason I came..." The other man answered why laughing with his perverted expression.

"Me too... Celestial Flowers, we commoners could only dream to get a glance at their beauty since we couldn't afford the price... so, even a former one, it's enough to satiate my curiosity about their beauty that's well-known throughout the land."

Upon hearing the familiar name of the Celestial Flower, Yu Rong, Lu Cang retreated a couple steps and quickly turned his body, walking away from Tonghua Tower. The humiliation Jing subjected him to in the presence of Celestial Flowers still left a deep scar in his pride as a man. How could he allow Yu Rong to see him now and laughed at him. No way in hell!!

Dejectedly, Lu Cang walked to another place. A drinking house. Just before he stepped in, a group of bulky crude looking men came his way. They all had the same bloodthirsty expressions. Judging by their fierce looks, they must have come to create some trouble. They might want to challenge someone or just want revenge for something trivial.

Lu Cang disliked being dragged into troublesome fighting like last time, before any troublesome things happened, he chose to leave first.

Back to the crowded main street, he pondered over which direction he should go to.
