A Drinking Challenge

The moon was still shining brilliantly on this mid-autumn night. The air was filled with the fragrance of flowers which bloomed proudly with their splendorous colors before taking their winter's sleep. Illuminated by the splendid light of the moon at its brightest, the autumn beauties seemed to have their own competition to outdo the others. Each of them emitted their alluring fragrance into the air, attracting each and every innocent soul that was captured by their poetic beauty.

Under the spell of this extravagantly charming sight, in the Grand Hall, where the mid-autumn banquet was being held, delirious songs and the odor of wine filled the hall on all four sides. On the long table which was covered by bright golden yellow brocaded satin, all kinds of delicacies were spread afar, accompanied by delicious and high quality wine.

By the Emperor's side, the Marquis, Lu Cang was expressionlessly watching all the spectacular singing and dancing without even raising a brow. Over the years, all of this had become a norm, nothing to be excited about, instead, it had become rather boring and suffocating.

Glancing at the Emperor who seemingly enjoying himself so much in the banquet, ---Jing loved banquets and festivals to the point of finding every excuse he could find to hold a banquet or festival, Lu Cang couldn't help but becurious. Despite the many officials and ministers who came to wish him good health, long life, and so on, ---each of them drank at least a cup of wine afterward, Jing only lifted up his cup and took a sip of his wine, not emptying his cup at all.

Initially, Lu Cangthought that Jing would drink a hell of a lot of wine during the banquet, however he found that Jing never seemed to bother himself with the wine. He would only amuse himself with the sight of the crowd, the alluring singing and the dazzling dancing.

Observing the hall in all directions, Lu Cang could see that most of the participants were taking advantage of this occasion and indulging themselves in the highest quality of wine, only available during Imperial banquets. So, why did the host himself seem to avoid this sweet and fragrant wine?

Could it be that...Jing actually had a low tolerance towards wine??

Thinking back, Lu Cang rarely saw Jing drink, no, scratch that rarely, Lu Cang actually only saw Jing drink during a banquet or festival, a courtesy drink. Only a cup or two.

At the possibility of finding Jing's weakness, Lu Cang couldn't restrain a smile from floating up on his handsome face.

All of this time, Lu Cang had exhausted every cellof his brain to rake out Jing's weakness. He refused to believe that Jing was a man without any weaknesses at all. Jing couldn't be too perfect. It was annoying to let him have his way all the time just because he was a being close to divinity. Lu Cang must prove that he was a human with a weakness.

Finally, the time had come for Lu Cang to triumph completely over this arrogant beyond belief, always full of confidenceand looking down on others, irritating high and mighty Emperor, Xuan Yuan Jing...

Xuan Yuan Jing... The day when I, Lu Cang, have control over you has finally come...

He was a proud Bandit King before this cunning Emperor came to his life and broke everything to pieces. The least he could have for his sweet revenge was to have this unbelievably perfect man be his servant even only for a while. To make him do whatever Lu Cang wanted him to. What a satisfying accomplishment.

Lu Cang could only laugh uncontrollably in his heart while looking at Jing who was still oblivious about Lu Cang's scheming.
