Remember, I don't own ATLA!! Only the person who I forgot his name does! Dante Basco? Nah, that's Zuko's voice actor. That is all! Enjoy the story~
Chapter 1: The Other Princess of The Fire Nation
It has been over a month since everything has happened and me becoming a princess. It felt a little weird with all those people and the commoners giving me all the respect and honor. It felt nice, but also felt like something was missing.
Ty Lee dyed my hair completely jet black, and ever since then, the Fire Lord wanted my name for me as Akari, and we were now being represented by the twins into the Fire Nation, Lo and Li. The only reason that I had to change my name was because people would think I'm a waterbender, and also that I needed to be more Fire Nation like.
"And after three long years, your prince has returned with a new princess in line with him. Zuko and Akari!" they shouted in unison. Zuko and I stepped into view, expressionless as we walked towards Azula; me between them. There was shouts and clapping from below us and I recognized how many people were here. Thousands.
After the introduction that we've returned and that I'm the new "adoptive" sister, Zuko and I went to sit by the pond while Zuko was feeding the turtle-ducks.
"You okay, Zuko?" I asked, rubbing his back.
"Yeah, I'm fine." he muttered. I sighed as he fed the cute little turtle-ducks. We both felt a presence behind us as a shadow went upon the pond and scared off the turtle-ducks.
"You seem so down, has Mai gotten to you already? Though actually Mai has been in a strangely good mood, lately." she stated with a sly grin on her face. I put an arm around Zuko's back lovingly.
"Maybe she's glad she's finally getting to see Zuko happy for a change." I grinned cheekily. I knew that Mai had a crush on Zuko, but I wasn't going to let that get between us.
"How long have you two been going out now?" she titled her head to the side curiously.
"For two months," I answered. Zuko nodded his head.
"That's wonderful." she stated with a grin. What's up with her? She seems suspicious all of a sudden. "I'm glad to see my brother happy. Maybe we might even be sister's-in-law." she smirked. S-sister's-in-law?! When did she possibly think of that?!
"Um, we haven't been thinking so seriously like that yet. It would still be so soon, and marriage isn't in my case. I'm still young, anyways." I shook my head.
"You're at the age of 16, right?" she questioned.
"Yes," I said.
"That's the age of when people get married. You know, you two should get married. You two make a lovely couple." why were we even talking about this?!
"I'm, I'll wait till he proposes to me, Azula." I stated simply, not wanting to get any further into this. This was getting really awkward for Zuko and I. . .
"Well, what about you Zuko? You hardly said a word." Azula asked.
"I haven't seen dad yet, I haven't seen even seen him in three years since I was banished." Zuko informed, playing with my black locks of hair. I kind of missed the blond, but I needed to blend in as best as possible.
"So what?" Azula asked.
"So, I didn't capture the Avatar." Zuko stated.
"Who cares? The Avatar's dead. . . unless you think he's somehow miraculously survived." she shrugged back. Whoa, great vocabulary from a 14 year old. (Did you know that?! Because I didn't till I found out on Wikia. 0.0 Weird. . .)
