Chapter 11: The Mission Part 1
I woke up with a slight start. The wind drifted past in a quick and heavy pace causing my hair to to sway in the motion. I had taken the notice that a blanket was wrapped around me. Where has this come from? I didn't mean to fall asleep last night out here.
I got up to my feet and went back to my room to put away the blanket. I wonder who put it on me? Was it Sokka? Hmm, who knows? I could hardly remember about last night besides of what happened between Sokka and I.
I looked out of the window near my bed and looked to see if Zuko and Aang were to be found. They're not here yet and I was a bit anxious and worried about them. I hope they are all right. I would hate to see anything bad happen to either of them. Please come home soon, you guys. I miss having you both around.
I let out a sigh as I took out a pair of clothes and changed into some proper attire for wearing. My night clothes were way too uncomfortable to wear all the time and they needed a wash badly. A heavy wash is more like it. They don't exactly stink, but they don't smell decent either.
I went back out and joined the others as they finally came outside for some breakfast. I smiled as I walked by them and sat down beside Toph. I didn't dare sit beside Sokka, fearing of what would happen between us there.
"Good morning, everyone." I said.
"Morning," they all replied. Katara was fixing up breakfast for everyone and Haru was helping with it. Once they were done, they handed out the food for everyone.
"Here you go," Haru said with a smile and handed one to me.
"Thanks," I said while forcing a grin on my face as I gratefully took the food and began eating.
"I guess the others aren't back yet, are they?" Took asked.
"No," said Sokka. "But they need to hurry."
"Yeah, I just hope Zuko doesn't kill Aang along the way." Katara said. I rolled my eyes at her words.
"Nah, I'm sure Aang is in good hands." I said giving a smile to reassure her. She just rolled her eyes while giving me a short scoff in annoyance.
"Yeah, whatever." She muttered quietly as she looked away. She wasn't convinced by my words at all.
Just then, we heard a loud roar and we looked over to see Appa landing near us. I grinned cheekily as I quickly stood up. Katara grinned as well and ran over to them.
"You're back!" Katara shouted and ran up to hug Aang. Yep. Totally canon. I walked up towards Zuko and gave him a hug.
"It's so good to see you again, Zuko." I said as I snuck a quick kiss to his cheek without anyone noticing.
"You too," he grinned.
"We have something to show you guys!" Aang said happily. Zuko and Aang walked forward. They both started to fire bend. It was such a beautiful sight to see! "With this technique the dragons showed us, Zuko and I will be unstoppable." We all clapped in the end. I was the one clapping the hardest.
"Yeah, that's a great dance you two learned there." Sokka said sarcastically.
"It's not a dance, it's a fire bending form!" Zuko said.
"We'll just tap dance our way to victory over the Fire Lord!" said Sokka with a cheap grin. Zuko walked up to him.
"It's a sacred form that happens to be thousands of years old!" Zuko argued.
"Oh yeah? What's your little form called?" Katana asked.
"The Dancing Dragon," Zuko said and we all giggled at the name.
