Harry's POV
I sat in the rocking chair by the fire, rocking baby Lily to sleep. Alone in the room, as all the other kids were asleep, I was alone with my thoughts. Why haven't we herd from Liam? He was supposed to send a letter a week ago. Liam, my husband, had been sent to Afghanistan to fight the war. I missed him dearly and he missed the birth of Lily. Louis, and his husband Niall had been there, to make up and they video taped everything. He sent letters weekly an I loved hearing from him. But last week, a letter was never sent. I'm scared of bad news. I didn't want to hear that he was killed or MIA. The kids need two parents, not one.
The good news is, Christmas is tomorrow. All of the kids are excited for Santa. I looked at the time and saw 12:45 am flashing in green at me. I carefully got up, making sure I didn't wake Lily, set her in her crib and went to bed.
-next morning-
"Papa, wake up! It's time to see if Santa came!" I felt three forms bouncing on me. "Okay, okay, papa's awake. Go wait downstairs. I'll be down in a minute." They all jumped off me and rushed out the door. I slowly got up and walked to the door, still in my boxers. Padding downstairs, I came to the living room, where the kids were waiting patiently to open presents. I laughed and nodded and Jade, Micah, and Darcy shot towards the pile. Walking to the couch, I watched them and looked down at Lily, who I had gotten as I passed her room. Lily was looking around with wide eyes, her fingers grabbing for air. I smiled and watched until I heard the doorbell ring. Who could that be? Maybe Niall an Louis coming to celebrate with us. I laid lily down in the little playpen and walked to the door opening it. Without looking, I said " come on in Ni and Lou." Suddenly there was a deep laugh and a voice said "I'm not Niall or Louis. Look up, love." I looked up as standing there, in his army uniform, was Liam.
"L-L-Liam?" I whisper, shocked. E nodded. The years started to falls lowly making a trail down my face. "I'm finished. They said I didn't have to go back again. I'm home." He said, smiling so wide a car could fit in it. A grin broke on my face. "Really?!"
"Yeah, baby."
I ran straight at him and hugged him as hard as I could. Looking at him, I connected my lips to his and we kissed passionately. All my fear washed away as I kissed him. We broke apart when there was a gasp behind us. Liam looked over an there stood Jade, Micah, and Darcy, smiling. "DADDY!" They screamed and attacked Liam in a hug. He laughed and picked Jade and Micah up. "Hey you little munchkins. Did you miss me?" He asked. "Yes daddy!" Micah said. Liam looked down and Darcy was tugging on his pants leg. "Are you staying?" She asked in a small voice. Liam smiled and nodded and the three kids screamed in happiness. Liam turned to me.
"Now. Where's me newest daughter?" He asked. I led him to the living room slowly. He gasped as e saw Lily sleeping in the play pen. "He's beautiful." He whispered. "She has your hair color and nose and birthmark."
"And she has your curls and dimples." He said. "Wait until you see her eyes. They're a mix of ours." Right after I said that, Lily opened her eyes slowly and Liam gasped. "They're like a mix of chocolate and emerald!" I laughed and nodded. While the kids were looking at their presents, Liam and I walked into the kitchen. He grabbed my waist and pulled me into his chest. "I'm finally home." He whispered into my hair. I smiled into his chest. He's staying. I have my Liam back.
