This is a sad one. It mentions cutting and suicide in it. Please don't read if this scares you at all.

Louis PoV

I watched from my room at the mental hospital as a blonde boy was dragged into the reception by a woman. She said a couple things to him, tried to hug him, then left the hospital, crying. The boy just stood there, looking at the ground. The receptionist touched his arm and told him to follow her. They walked to my room...wait, to my room? I stiffened as they walked in. I had anxiety issues and panic attacks and I couldn't be around people without being scared. The nurse introduced him as Niall and told me he was staying in this room. He kept looking down. I wonder why.

"H-hello, N-Niall. I'm L-Louis." I tried to say. Curse my stuttering. It's all because of HIM. The man that scarred me for life.

Niall looked up finally and I saw the most beautiful blue eyes ever. He didn't say hello back though. Is he deaf? Or mute? Why is he here?

He walked to his bed and pulled out a whiteboard from his bag. 'Hello Louis. I'm Niall.' He wrote and showed it to me. "Why don't you talk?" I asked. I was really curious. He looked down and then scribbled on the board again. He held it up. 'I'll tell my story if you tell yours.'

"Okay. When I was young, my mum married a man by the name of Mark. He was a very kind man at first. About two years after the marriage, he started to change. So did my mum. They both started drinking and doing drugs. I tried to get them to stop, but it never worked. Later on, they would start beating me. Always me, never my sisters. Then, there came a day when my father came home, drunk, locked me and himself in my room, and he...he... R-raped me... That's where my anxiety started and my panic attacks. They got worse and mum drove me here. I've been here since then." I said, tears forming in my eyes.

He looked at me and then looked down at his board. He started writing on it. It took him a while to finish. He held it up and I read it. 'My parents gave me up for adoption as a baby. I was in the orphanage for ten years. I became depressed and started cutting. The pain was getting too much. I knew I'd never be adopted. I thought about suicide many times. Then one day, an old man came and adopted me. He was the most frightening person ever and I still have nightmares about my month with him. He started with whipping me, then it progressed to beating me, then he started cutting me. He stopped feeding me what little food I got, and made me sleep outside. One day, he came home with a knife, and carved this into my back.' He turned around an there was the words 'faggot' carved deep into his back. I felt like throwing up. I looked back at the board. 'After that day, I refused to speak to anyone. The man was found and taken to prison and I was sent to another orphanage. When they found that I never talked, they dragged me here.' I looked up and into his eyes. "Niall, we can make it through these problems. We just have to stick together." He smiled sadly and shook his head. 'I can't be fixed. I'm as shattered as broken glass.' He wrote. "Maybe so, but we can try."I said. That was a beginning. But five months later, Niall got

Sick. He was extremely weak. I knew he was dying, but I never told him that I was in love with him. I regretted that. He was gone. I had just gotten him to speak to me right before he got sick, but now, he's gone. And there's nothing left for me here on this planet. I walked into the bathroom, pill bottle in hand. Niall, I'm coming for you. I opened the bottle and swallowed pill after pill. I was feeling woozy. My legs gave way and I crumpled to the ground and darkness came over me. Then, I saw him. Niall. He was standing above me, smiling sadly. "I thought you said we'd make it through, together,Louis." He said. "We did. We're together now. Forever. We left out troubles behind." And he smiled before taking me hand and lifting me up, taking me to heaven.
