Everything just paused for a split second and I could feel it affecting me; my Chip was, tingling. It softly hummed for a few seconds, vibrating the blood in the veins of my wrist. As if the blood was affected as well, my brain felt like it had been in a drought, for I had gone more pale and felt dizzy.

No one was there to witness it.

All the nurses and doctors were too busy to even sit by my bedside all afternoon and my family was at home probably enjoying a day not being in a hospital. It's okay, though. I'm used to it.

Oh, it's so lovely.

This afternoon's sunset it more gorgeous than ever; the light orange sun rays turn into a warm orange pigment that bounce off the building walls. I would've taken many pictures of this if I could, but I'm prohibited from using any electronics.

They all think that my brain is unable to process complex modern uses like TV or phones. Okay, people, if I'm not allowed to look at "advanced" technology then why do I have a Chip in my wrist?

I set down my book and take a look at my wrist. Well, it looks like it's been in the desert for weeks. The skin feels fine but the veins have turned into a more... "clear" color. They used to be like either blue-purplish or a shade of green color, however, they're now almost as pale as my skin.

The doors busts open and Nurse Goo comes in panting about 30 miles per hour as she looks at me.

"Pack up your things," she orders even though she doesn't give a reason to why I need to use so much energy; I guess I'm just lazy.

"Why?" I ask, shifting a bit in my bed. The sunset is now completely out of view and night takes over.

"A second person has woken up."
