Today is supposed to be our 10th appointment with Dr. Seo and it's apparently going to be the most interesting one yet. Everyday since day 1, what he talks about had gotten more complex and interesting. We, Jongin and I, have actually began to listen to his words lately.

I turn to him and grab his wrist. "Do you have a... weird feeling built up in your stomach?" I wave my hands around in a circle above my torso.

"Yeah; let's go in," he nods his head and opens the door. As always, Dr. Seo sits in his chair waiting for our arrival. Today we are on time, which is honestly quite rare for us. Jongin and I are always busy bickering and procrastinating in the morning.

There's a whole folder filled with papers on his desk.

The neurologist, I recently found out, stands up and welcomes us with a huge smile stuck on his face.

"Welcome, you two! Sit, sit," he gestures at the usual white chairs that we usually use to sit in and sit our butts down onto them. Jongin's face becomes sick of any color as he stares at the folder.

"How is your morning, Doctor?" I try to hide my anxiousness by being polite.

"Oh? Well, I'm doing quite well; I'm in a good mood today because of," he picks up the folder, "this."

We all stare at the clear folders with papers facing the other way, but still holds it's own secrets in it. I don't know if this is exactly good.

"Jongin, you don't look so well. Do you need to go back to your room to rest?"

He shakes his head. "Even though I want to, yes, I need to protect her. I can't possibly leave her with some man like you."

My eyes glue into his for a few seconds.

You better shut up or you're dead meat by both of us.

Our attention goes back to the doctor.

"Oh, you two. Aren't you two getting along so well already? Ah, cuties."

I slap my head into the creases of my thumb and pointer fingers. This "Jongin and I dating thing" is a daily routine for us, but it needs to stop.

"Okay, okay. I'm finished. What I really want to talk about today is this," he pulls two packets of a few pieces of papers stapled together out of the folder and hands one copy to each of us.

"You two will be involved in an experiment created by famous doctors from Korea that involves playing made up scenes into your brain and seeing if anything goes off. This is supposed to see if you can get memories back that way."

I guess it makes sense, but...

"You tell us on the day right before the day we get this experiment?"

Jongin agrees with me by nodding his head.

"It wasn't set up until this morning; I didn't want to say anything about it before it was confirmed, so I'm sorry about this sudden notice. I would like you two to take these back to your room and read all of the pages throughly to make sure you know what's going on and sign it on page 9. I have already emailed your parents' with copies of this packet as well and am also awaiting their approval."

I pick up the packet and read the title:

Experiment A: Reminding / Recreating Memories

Jongin and I both look at each other at the same time, having the same feeling about this:

Unease.
