It's nearly my bedtime when they begin dragging me outside of the hospital for the first time; I was wearing normal, black clothes, a black mask, and black Nikes all for the first time in my life. Unlike the loose gown I wore 24/7, the clothes the rich hospital provided me was tight fitting and felt a lot smoother for my taste.
The night sky outside glows with Seoul's downtown lights as we fly over it in a, surprisingly, black helicopter. I've never been so close, I probably have in the past, to the tall skyscrapers that wave hello to the clouds above them.
I, unfortunately, have no one to share this happiness with right now; my one and only escort is a male bodyguard who's name I don't even know and he's just sleeping. The pilot is busy navigating the helicopter so we don't crash into a building and fall to our deaths, so talking to him would risk all of our lives.
"Miss Jung and Mr. Wang, we're slowly starting to descend onto the roof of your destination. Please wake up," the pilot purposely makes the word 'wake' sound harsh so my bodyguard would wake up.
Mr. Wang pulls himself out of his awkward sleep position and sits himself into his seat. Avoiding my eye contact, he stares out the window as he grips his seat belt.
The helicopter begins flying towards the large circle on top of this building's roof and then targets itself right over it. There is one guy standing on the outskirts of the circle waving his two baton light things.

Oh, I feel weird.
Everything in me yearns to just turn around and go back to the room in the hospital, but reality is such a different topic. It pisses me off, really, to know that you can't have what you want.
Mr. Wang, who seems like he's a young newlywed, leads me down the hallway of the 5th floor of this hospital that looks pretty much identical to our hospital; new looking, fresh, and bright.
"This is the patient Miss Jung is supposed to spend time with. Here are her bags," he hands the lobby nurse some information about me and this person I'm meeting, plus handing her the two bags that I packed for this stay.
She takes the piece of paper and begins to read it, looks at her computer screen, then back at the piece of paper.
"Sir... are you sure the two will be fine alone for a few days together?" she emphasizes that word for a reason I don't know.
No.
No, maybe—
"Why wouldn't they be...?"
"Why would I be?" we both say in unison. The nurse scratches her head and then hands back the piece of paper.
"The patient's a guy literally like a year older than her..."
Oh, great. This is just great.
"...Can I just have my room so I can sleep?" I sigh, swinging the two bags over each shoulder. Honestly, I'm just so done with everything now.
"Well, Mr. Kim doesn't want to be disturbed..." the nurse bites her lip.
"Does it matter? No. It's not like we're staying in the same..." I slow down when both of them are staring at me, "...room..."
The nurse shakes her head and pats me on the shoulder.
"It's going to be a rough 3 days, Soojung. Jongin is just one confused fella like you were, except a lot colder."
