How did I end up here?
The room itself doesn't look scary at all; the room is colored with very light brown paint and is actually decorated with a flowers every so and then. However, there's just a single bed sitting in the middle of the room and a monitor in a corner of the room.
I'm in that bed right now. I'm in that bed with this stickers and wires stuck to my head, ready to send impulses of images or clips into my brain. I've been pretty out of it since this morning; a nurse had to help me walk here because I was so quiet and immobile like an old person.
But now that I'm actually paying attention to what's happening around me, I begin to freak out.
"No! Please let me out of here," I sit up from the bed and try to climb off of it. Unluckily, one of the doctors grab my arm and just sit me right back onto the bed.
"Miss Jung, you must stay still. The test will begin soon and we need to inject some medicine into your body first," he bosses.
I, being desperate to escape this, try to fight my way out again but end up where I started. Now they all get involved by grabbing my limbs and pushing me down to the bed.
"Stop! Let me go, please. I need to go see someone!"
One of the free doctors runs over to the a table by the monitor and picks up a large needle with blue fluid filled up to the maximum mark. With a blank face, she begins to walk over to me.
"Move," she demands and grabs my arm. Unfortunately, I'm wearing a hospital gown today. My arm will soon have to be practically murdered by that stuff.
"NO! NO, PLEA—"
The thick, 2 1/2 inch needle breaks my epidermis and then moves down into my biceps, basically cutting vein in the way. It hurts so much that I'm bawling to myself without my friend Jongin to be here with me.
The "medicine" stuff first starts off as a tingly feeling in my arm and then quickly travels up my arm to the rest of my body as a cold liquid.
I scream.
"My legs... hands..."
I can't feel them! The medicine now is rushing up my neck and I can feel it stiffen as the liquid runs straight through it.
Now it's by my eyes... ouch! The burning sensati...
My hea...

The buildings are so tall, really. They look like they're already greeting the bright blue sky with warmth and wait, yet as a human I'm so alone right now.
I look at my phone, awaiting for his text to come into my inbox. Where is he? It's been roughly 15 minutes and I haven't heard a word from him neither a text or what's happening.
Finally, after waiting long minutes, a text from him comes in.
Kim Taehyung:
Babe, I'll be a little late, okay? The taxi driver is driving slow T__T
My heart feels nothing. Why have I unfallen in love with him?
-
I am staring out at a sea but I cannot move. Darkness from the sky, night, creeps me out. It's so quiet, yet loud from the downtown cars and busy area.
Someone walks behind me, but instead of touching me they just say something:
"This is the Han River."
A sharp breath of air comes into my air and my eyes widen.
-
"Wait! Where are you going? Give me my bag!" I scream after the guy, chasing him through countless roads and parks. He snatched my purse that had everything valuable in it and I need it back so I won't have to do so much work to shut down all my credit cards and all.
The guy trips on his undone shoelace and falls onto the ground, his knee sliding on the knee. He quickly looks back into my eyes.
I stop running and we stare at each other.
Wait... he's familiar. I know who he is! But... where is he from again? My brain swirls into a mush of words as I just look at him.
I swear I've seen those eyes somewhere...
The thief turns back around and runs again, but I scream out to him. As if not afraid of punishment, he faces me again.
"Don't go," I say.
-
I wake up from the "dreams", confused with sweat dripping down my temples. Oh, jeez. I can't even remember what happened during that whole session.
Only seconds after I opened my eyes, people are already starting to speak to me. However, they only get transmitted as blobs of sounds to my brain. No, I mean I'm just out of the realm and I feel high.
"Soojung, good job," Dr. Seo, who I swear wasn't here before, pats me on the shoulder three times and then hands me his handkerchief. Thanking him, I take it and pat it around my face.
"Jongin did pretty well, too."
I stop patting my face with the cloth and say nothing. Did they find something hidden in his brain that he couldn't remember? Did they, perhaps, find a memory of his?
If they found a memory of his and Dr. Seo's telling me that I did just as well as Jongin...
Does that mean I have regained a memory as well?

The italics are the scenarios the doctors are pumping into her brain to see if they trigger anything (a lost memory) in her brain.
