Zayns Pov : The doctor led us towards an empty room. I felt Perrie grip my hand as we walked. She told us to sit. The doctor looked at us both in silence trying to speak. Perrie interrupted the silence.

" look we've been through this before, you don't need to beat around the bush."

She was right if it was good news, we wouldn't have been pulled aside. I knew as soon as she walked through the doors it was bad news. No one walks out of a,successful surgery with a frown on their face. The familiar pit in my stomach was back. I looked over at Perrie as she tried to wipe the tears off her cheeks.
The doctor shifted her weight in her chair before she spoke.

" I'm very sorry to tell you this but.."
Perrie let out a loud gasp, as she spoke I pulled her into my chest.

" There was a lot of head trauma when she hit the road. We did everything we could to give the brain normal function again. Unfortunately it wasn't enough and,she is in a coma and may not wake up.  it's best if you start to prepare yourselves."

I watched Perrie bring her hand,to her mouth as she let out a scream.

" Is she showing any brain activity at the moment," Perrie asked between breathes.

" The patient is showing very little brain activity at the moment."

" Her name is Fey the patients name is Fey," I said under my breathe.

" It's best if you start to think of a treatment plan for your daughter. "

" Please stop talking ," I yelled

" I'll take you to your daughters room , the head doctor on your daughters case will bring by the papers for you later on. Also child services would wish to speak to you as well as the police."

She talked as if what she was saying was easy for us to process. She sounded as if she was accusing us of doing this to Fey.
" why-why does child services want to speak to us. We've never done anything to harm our daughter."

" We found traces of alcohol in her body , and since shes a minor it's just routine questions."

Perrie began to laugh in her seat ,
" routine questions that absolutely ridiculous."

I interrupted the doctor before she could say anything else.
" can you just take us to see her."

We walked down long narrow hallways. The familiarity was all to much. When you would walk past a room to see people clutching, their loved ones hands whispering quite prayers. Or how the smell of rubbing alcohol was faint, but strong enough to trigger bad memories. We stopped outside a light pink door, with a tiny window. The doctor stood beside the door and left us as I turned the knob.
I let in a deep breathe as I pushed open the door. Warm tears fell down my face as I looked at Fey. She was completely still, with tubes hanging off her body. Her hair was hidden behind a thick white bandage. Her face was covered in cuts and bruises.
Perrie kneeled on the floor holding Feys hand.

" this doesn't look like my little girl anymore."

I watched tears roll down her face ,
" I still don't understand how this happened. Twenty four hours ago she was fine , Sh-she hugged me and told me she loved me. Now I'm supposed to decide, how long I'd like to keep my child alive."

I walked over beside Perrie and knelt beside her. I held her head in my chest and, watched my tears fall onto her shoulder. I wanted to tell her how she wouldn't die or how we will get through this. Except I wasn't sure any of that was true, I've seen this all happen before. I want to believe she'll be okay and we will be okay but if anything happens to Fey I know we won't be okay. She was the only reason we stayed together after Skyler so, if Feys dies then I lose everything.
I would always hear people say
" they grow up in a blink of an eye."
It wasn't tell now I believed them. All your left with is memories of what they use to be. All the little things you toke for granted. I wish I cherished every moment with her. Now I'm looking at a girl , who once fit in my arms. With tubes hooked up to her. Never knowing if she'll wake up.
