Becky wandered into her room. Olivia threw her a back of green leaves and laughed. “Smoke up sis, it’s gonna be a long year. Congrats on first, by the way.” Becky sighed and smelled her room. It was just disgusting, so she decided to take a stand.
“Listen, Olivia, it’s wonderful that you want to be nice stoner buddies with your roommate, but I don’t want to die before I’m even on the battlefield. What weapon do you even use!? You’re also blazed off your ass, and it’s absolutely ridiculous! I am going to request a room change. Maybe Gozlin would like a new roommate. Oh yeah, and I’m not your goddamned sister.” Becky was pulsating mad, and she sounded like she was about to explode.
Olivia grabbed a joint and a lighter and gave it to Becky. Her stoner persona disappeared for a second. “Eh, Bec, I’m sorry if we got off on the wrong foot. I’m a rapier user, and I only smoke to calm myself down. It’s just farrow plant, it’s not even illegal. All it does is calm you down a bit. Try one. That’s all. If you don’t like it, go move in with Gozlin.” Olivia held it out with a nice smile on her face. Becky started to calm down a bit and grabbed the joint.
“Just one.” She said.
Free and Jaden waited with another girl. Free looked to her and confused asked. “So... Who are you?”
“Dragonetta, but scholar dweeb here keeps calling me Wrath. Do you need any other info, because my fist tends to like doing the talking.” She cracked her knuckles. Her hair was half shave and about elbow length. She wore a jacket and a sports bra, but the jacket was missing an arm, revealing a large intricate tattoo of a rose. She also wore a black short skirt, and a lot of black make up. The door swung open and Becky walked in.
“Sorry I’m a little late, I had to talk to my roommate.” She seemed to be functioning normal, but her eyes were bloodshot.
Free wandered up to her and whispered to her. “Becky, are you high?”
She paused for a long time. “No. I’m stoned.”
He smacked himself in the face. “Same thing dumbass. Now go sit down, Hozzletop is going to be here soon.” Backy and Free took seat in one of 8 chairs in a circle facing a blackboard. Dragonetta and Jaden sat in another two, as the top hatted headmaster kicked down the door and screamed
“Good morning, my students of Psi!” He walked behind a teachers desk and grabbed a piece of chalk, before walking to the black board. “Now, I should introduce myself. You know me as Headmaster Hozzletop, but you can call me Professor Toprait!”
Becky leaned over to Free. “Did you know Hozzletop wasn’t his real name?”
“I had no idea.”
“As students of Psi, you are all witches. People born with magical ability. Now, at this current time of study with witches, we know a few things. One, all the previous witches are, dead. That’s why I’m teaching you, seeing as I worked them a lot. Secondly, the power locked inside a witch is unfathomable, but most never learned more than a basic spell. You each control an aspect and an element. One of eight. Becky, you are Sanity, tyrant of darkness. Free, you are Luck, controller of storms. Jaden, you are Greif, bender of earth. Oh, and Dragonetta, you are Wrath, sion of flames. You have two jobs. To master this ability unlike the witches before you, and find the remaining witches. You have roughly...” He checked his watch, although it didn’t matter considering his answer was: “A year to complete this task. All the witches are at the school this year, I just don’t know who they are. Start with the top few, such as Gozlin and Francis. Then start searching around more. Also, you can’t just straight up ask ‘Oh, ‘ello, are you a witch?’ because Psi is secret and so are the witches for the time being, and saying something like that is stupid given the current circumstance. We need to find Joy, conjurer of mind, Love, the warrior of light, and Pride, heir of seas. Oh yes, I keep forgetting one. Bond, the wizard of blood.”
