Chapter 9- Teach You a Lesson

Okay guys I know it's been a while but I'm on holiday, so give me a break.
I'm in Mauritius and I miss my friends and family. I miss my amazing boyfriend. So this chapter is dedicated to the most important people in my life.

Outside the palace stood a beautiful white horse and a black horse next to it.
He helped mount the white horse.

The beast gave a soft snort and turned it's head towards me. Her black mane shifting in the slight breeze.

It was as if we were connected.
You're pretty.
I nearly fell out of the saddle.
"What the hell!" I said out loud.
Kade doubled over laughing.
"What is so funny Kade!" I yelled.

He got up and looked at the horse.
"She's your amicus. Your bonded to her." he said and in a sweep was up on the towering stallion.

I'm sorry I scared you. My name is Spirit, may I ask yours.
"I am Mist." I whispered to the horse.
I would bow, but then you'd fall off.
My horse had a sense of humor and I laughed.

"Let's go. Dragon, let's go."
The horse started slow and then the speed increased.
We were chasing the wind.
The night shadows collected behind me in a cape of darkness.

We raced and when we stopped adrenaline ran through every fiber of my being.
He helped me off and we left the horses.

"Won't they run away?" I asked suddenly curious of my amicus.
"They are bonded to us, they won't leave. Anyways, Dragon is responsible, they won't go."

He took my hand in his.
I looked up at him, eyes of chocolate gazed back.
"I think I'm in..." I didn't see the roamer before it was too late.

I acted on instinct and hugged Kade.
I didn't feel any pain as I should have as the roamers claw neared my side.
We erupted in fire.
Kade hugged me. His taller frame covering me.
The roamers gave a screech as he went through us, only being burnt by the fire.

"We're shadows." Kade said when the roamer disappeared through his gut.

He looked us up and down, shaking his head.
"Shadows. You did it you mastered shadows." he leaned down and kissed me.

What the heck!
I leaned into it. Shit! I loved it.

He let me go and he materialised. The roamers looked at him.
Oh gosh. He looked around for me.
I was still a shadow.
I thought about being visible and then I knew I was visible again.

We had nearly died and Kade had kissed me.
The roamer looked at me, purple eyes burning holes in mine.

It lunged and I pulled power.
It disappeared with whispers. Shadows covered me. And I spread my fingers out to the side and the world went black, only Kade's fire dancing in and out of my shadow provided light.

"Watch out!" He yelled at me and I changed into a shadow again.
"Oh princess, my king want your power." a roamer, different from the others stood before me.

His eyes were black.
He was a shadow.
Oh snap.

I ran as a shadow towards Kade and touched him.
He instantly turned into a shadow.
"What the..." a roamer disappeared through his head.
Okay that was weird.

"That's disgusting. You can see their brains." he said, disgusted of course.
Yuck!
Brains? Nope, I'm not letting them jump through me.

Everything went quite as Kade burnt yet another ten roamers.
Where where they coming from?
Then I saw.
