Chapter 24 - He Loves You

Lucian's P.O.V

I didn't care anymore. Fire ran through my veins. I blasted down the wall. Never had I felt so much power. The second story window was shattered and a form stood in the frame. Mist?
I looked to the ground, there, surrounded by glass was Kade's lifeless form leaking blood from a sword stuck through his chest.
"Mist!" I yelled he name before she fell.
She ran on the air. Wait what!?!
Oh yeah... She has air. And a quite powerful ability it seemed.
She landed next to Kade's form. Tears streaming down her cheeks. I walked up to her and pulled her up into a hug. She was shaking and covered in blood.
"We have to go," she stuttered.
I nodded and she ran to her car. I turned to the house to see a black shadow in the spot where the window once was. I used fire to make a stretcher to bring Kade on. His soul may be gone, but his body was still here and he deserved a great buirial...

Mist's P.O.V

I sat on the couch shaking. My powers had returned instantly, as I had felt something snap into place. But Kade's death had hurt us all. All of Aura knew. And it was all my fault. I let out another sob and Lucian walked in again. He handed me some coffee and sat across me on the floor.
Something struck me then. In that instant I froze as Kade's ghost grinned at me.
"I'm gone now... Free of rules and laws. Be happy Mist. You have someone who loves you." He looked down at Lucian and disappeared with a smile.
Lucian... Loves me?
Another tear slipped by me and Lucian looked up at me.
"Come here," he said and grabbed my hand and pulled me into a hug.
Maybe... Just maybe he did.
I smiled into his chest.
Kade. You know to much.
He was right. That snap was a new bond. Muto's had a second chance life mate... And here mine was.
