Chapter 6 - A Pie to the Face

Alright guys, I thought I'd do a chapter from Kade's perspective.
I also added info about faerie powers.

Kade P.O.V

Kade sat on the castle step.
His father was forcing him to marrage at nineteen.
He liked Mist, but he'd never admit it to his father though.

What was he going to do for their date?
As soon as he'd asked she'd said yes, does that me she liked him to?
Agh, why are girls so confusing?

He got up and wandered over to the stables.
Off to the side stood a new horse.
It was supposed to be Mist's.
She was beautiful, she had golden eyes and a white coat, her mane and tail were black. She had a moon on her forehead in black. This horse was perfect for her.

He walked back to the castle and as he rounded the corner her saw the head of the guard and the water queens sister making out.
"Agh, get a room!" Kade yelled at Jess and Ryan.

That was, disturbing.
He turned another corner and walked right into Mist.
He grinned, "A little lost are we?"
She smiled and his heart warmed.

She was just so darn beautiful, and she didn't even realise.
Those golden curls and hazel eyes.

"I was just looking for the kitchen."
She spoke up.
He took her hand and walked her though the halls.
She was fascinated by everything.

"So how do the powers work, what do the do?" she asked.
He'd grown up with this information and she hadn't.

"Faeries have a spark of power in them, allowing them to control their element. They also have a lifemate, which makes their powers stronger. If you lose your lifemate, you lose your power. That's how you no a faerie is single, if they've lost their power."
Surprise was written all over her face.

"And if they loose their life mate, they loose their powers."
He looked at him with sad eyes, she noticed his expression.
"Your mother?" she whispered, and Kade looked at his shoes as they shuffled to the kitchen.

Her eyes lit up when she saw the pasteries being made.

Marge, the head baker bowed for them.
"You need not bow for me." Mist said to the lady.
"But you are my queen." Marge said unsure what to do.
"And I would like to be your friend. People don't bow to their friends." She spoke kindly to Marge.

Marge looked shocked.
She leaned forward and whispered something in Marge's ear that sent her bustling around the kitchen and she laughed at the same time.

The lady came back with a lemon pie and handed it to Mist.
She stuck her finger in and popped it in her mouth.

"Yum, wanna taste Kade?"
Kade nodded his head, and that's when he realised why Marge was laughing, and she never laughed.

It came right at him, so fast he couldn't stop it.
It hit him in the face.
He was covered in pie.
The girl's laughs filled the kitchen.

But dam if that pie didn't taste good...
