Chapter 17- Roamer's Land

I figured out how to teleport, I though as I disappeared though the ground.
Well that was fun.

Ahhh... Great. I looked at the white marble walls of the fire king's castle. This was not gonna be easy. I'd have to mix fire and shadow together if he attacked me.

I was glad for the royal dark shadow ability of the kiss of power.

The kiss of power: the ability to duplicate someone else's power if you are harmed by it.

I casually walked into the castle, my fear gone with the knowledge that I would cure the fire king as long as he was in my presence, I was the dark show of light.

I walked into the fire king's study. Light shone through the window. The king sat at his desk, when he met my eyes relief shone in them.

"Thank you." he even sounded different when he wasn't being controlled. I nodded.

"Unfortunately I can't stay long. I have important business to attend to." I spoke in a formal tone.

"Yes well, even if the freedom was short, I still preciate it. Please before you go, tell me about my son, how is he?" now concerned over his family, this was what a true king was meant to be like.

"He is fine, he has mastered fire." I spoke proudly of my lifemate.

I had seen the lightning as well as read the message.
Lucky me for getting the fire ability.

"I need your spirit ward." I asked.

Spirit ward: a ring, necklace, bracelet or broach that protects the wearer from 'lost souls' also know as roamer spirits. For roamer spirits gave the ability to take control of a lesson and consume the host's soul and take the body for themself.

The king nodded and stood. He rummaged through a box hidden in the wall behind a painting. He produced a white ring.
He handed it to me with care.

"Thank you." I hugged the man.
He seemed shocked and hugged me back.

"Will I be seeing you soon?" the king asked before I left.
I nodded and telepored again, only this time to the land of Tenebris.

The earth beneath me was almost pitch black. The trees were black, the sky was black.
I was here. Tenebris. The land of the roamers.

What I was looking for was easy to find.
Seeming it was the only thing that had damn colour!

I bent down before the rainbow waterfall.
Wherever the water sprayed there was life.
A small path made by slabs of coloured crystal led up to the waterfall's curtain.
As I walked under the water, my power sparked. The power getting stronger.

Inside stood a man, his back towards me.
Who was this?

"Who dare enters Lux?" he asked before turning and bringing me down with air.

Well I still lived in the human world I was a gamer so...
Level up!
Air ability unlocked.

I grinned. My turn.
I blew him back with the same power as his.

"Queen Mist Night." I answered his earlier question.

Fear shone in his eyes. I was know as a shadow, not as an air, air the ability I had used to take him down.

He bowed. And handed me a golden goblet.
"I know why you have come, My Queen." he said getting up.

"For you, drink water from the falls. As for your friend take this vial, fill it with the sap from the Tree of Lux and add some of the fall's water, it should return his powers." he said casually.

I probably looked like a goldfish, my mouth wide open. Wow. He was a mind.

Mind: someone who guards a sacred place of magic. They have the ability to tell a person's need if they arrive on the sacred grounds. There are six sacred grounds, one for each element.
Fire~ Ignis
Water~ Aqua
Air~ Ventus
Earth~ Terra
Shadow~ Lux
Dark(Death)~ Mors

I did as told. The boy handed me a silver vial which I took and walked to the tree in the middle of the cave. It had a hole in the bark.
I bent before the tree and it moved.

Oh my shadows! The fricken tree moved! Moved!
It moved a branch to my hand and touched it.

Ahh, my dear. I will help you, as I see you are in great need of this sap. A voice echoed in my head.

This tree can talk and move!!!

I was surprised that Connor from the Shadow Magic Trilogy hadn't come to tell me not to hurt Mother Oak.

Sap ran down the trees trunk. I quickly filled the container. I whispered "Thank you," as I got up.

I walked over to the falls. The air boy watching me like a hawk.
I poured some water into the vial. I looked at him.
"Yes mix it." he said and crossed his hands over his chest.
I did as told and then put the vial in my pocket.

I held the goblet under the falls.
When I pulled it out the water in the goblet was rainbow coloured, not really but you get the idea.

I took a sip.
It was like electricity had shot through me.
Power.

I finished the water in the goblet. And the gold thing disappeared out of my hands.
The boy disappeared as well, his job done.

I walked outside. Time to go home. I had read Kade's lightning message, we'd meet at the boarder.

As the water rushed over me my power flickered again.
But as soon as I exited the lightning water I understood why.

Roamers.

They couldn't enter the sacred grounds though.
I waved at them. "See ya suckers!" I teleported away from them and to the boarder of Aura.

I faced the waste land, it was a scene from a horror movie.
I got a fright when hands touched my back.
I squeaked.
Kade just started laughing and I hit him in the ribs which made him laugh more.

"Come on, let's go home." he said before grabbing my hand.
"Yes, home." I said and teleported us to my castle, my home.

I'll be taking a short break from writing because I'm writing exams... How fun...
