Don't Know Nothing

Chapter 4 - And I cannot remember What life was like through photographs

'So after you have filled in these papers you can go home.' The doctor said to me and handed me the papers with a pen. I filled in the papers and signed them but it didn't really felt right. I mean I don't even know where my home is. I know how it looks like but only from a couple of photos.

Adam packed in all my stuff while the nurse put me in a wheelchair. Although I could walk again I still had trouble with it because my stomach did still hurt. Adam gave me my stuff and told me that he was going to get the car. While Adam was gone I thanked the doctor.

'Well, you don't have to thank me! I just did my job,' the doctor said with a smile. I said goodbye to her and to the rest of the staff who helped me the past few days. The nurse pushed the wheelchair out of the hospital.
But just before I was out of the hospital a door to my left openend. On the door there was written "Staff only". I took a look inside and I saw all these pictures. When I took a better look I thought I also saw a picture of Adam.

Why does the hospital have a picture of him in their staff room? I mean I know he is good looking but why would you hang a photo of some random guy who walks into the hospital? It seemed all so weird for me.

But that wasn't the only weird thing, the other thing that seemed odd, was that it was a picture of Adam in a suit and it seemed like he was on a red carpet. But when I saw all the pictures of Adam and me together there weren't any pictures that were taken outside.

The nurse pushed the wheelchair further and I thought I must have looked at it wrong. I must have been someone who looked just like Adam. So I didn't pay any more attention to it. When we went outside I reminded myself that I didn't ask Adam what kind of car he had. So I didn't even know to what car I had to wait. After a couple of minutes I saw a big expensive car coming my way.

When I looked a bit better I saw Adam sitting on the drivers seat. I looked surprised and didn't really know what to think about it. Adam parked the car in front of the entrance and he put my stuff on the back seat while the nurse helped me into the car. I said goodbye to the nurse and Adam and I drove to our home.

After almost half an hour we arrived at this big house that almost look like a mansion. Yes I had seen pictures but I didn't know that the house was so big. I wondered what Adam his job was, maybe a lawyer or a director or something.

After Adam had put all my stuff away he showe me the whole house. After a while it became a bit confussing because every room seemed to leed to another room and there were like fourty rooms all over the house. I seemed like I had been through almost 6 bathrooms, but I don't even know for sure.

I was happy to see that there were more than one bedroom, so Adam and I didn't had to sleep together. It just didn't seem right to me that we had to sleep together. Although we had spent a couple of days together in the hospital I still didn't know Adam that well. It still seemed like he was hiding something from me.

It was almost midnight and Adam and I were both lying in a sofa and watching some lame movie.
'So did you like the movie?' Adam asked me after the movie had ended.

'Well, not really. There wasn't really a story line and it were boring people who played in this movie to be honest,' I said to Adam.

'Ow, that's weird. This used to be your favorite movie.' Adam said a bit disappointed. I looked shocked and I felt a bit bad because I couldn't remember anything from the movie. When I looked again at Adam I could see him biting his lip trying not to laugh.

'Just kidding, I just randomly grabbed this movie.' Adam said, almost falling on the ground because he had to laugh so hard. I quickly grabbed the pillow that was lying next to me and threw it at him. As I did I could feel a sharp pain through my stomach, I crampt together and I let out a yelp.

Adam immediately stopped laughing and runned towards me.
'Oh I'm so sorry, babe. Are you alright?' He asked.

'Not really, can you please give me my medicine?' I asked Adam. He quickly jumped up and run to the bathroom to get the medicine. He came back with a little white pill and a glass of water.
I grabbed it from him and quickly took the medicine. Unfortunately the pills don't work as quickly as the medicine from the hospital, but after a few minutes I already felt better.

'Tonight you are going to sleep in the master bedroom and I will be staying in te bedroom that is the closest to you so if you need anything you can always come to me or call me if you need anything.' Adam said to me.

'But it is your house, the master bedroom belongs to you Adam. I will sleep in a guest room.' I said to him because I didn't feel comfortable with steeling his bedroom.

'No Kaylynn, the master bedroom has the best bed and you have to sleep in a good bed so you don't have to much discomfort when you wake up. And besides that, this isn't my house. This is our house!' Adam said and he used his cute smile on me. I agreed with him and he helped me into the master bedroom.

I put on my pajamas and brushed my teeth. After that I layed down in the bed and I felt a bit more at home. Adam came into the bedroom and asked me if I needed anything.

'No, I'm fine, thanks,' I said to him.

'Okay, well goodnight then. See you tomorrow,' Adam said to me and he kissed my forehead. I could feel my whole body getting warm because of his touch. I wished Adam goodnight and he walked away.

When I put the sheet over my body couldn't resist the temptation to smell the sheets. From the smell I could tell that this was Adam his side of the bed. The smell didn't really bring back any specific memories, but everything seemed a bit more familiar. And because of that I could fall asleep easily.

I woke up in the middle of the night. At first I didn't really know where I was, the only thing I knew was that I had to go to the toilet very soon. I sat up in the bed, what already took a lot of energy. When I wanted to get out of bed I realised I didn't know where the bathroom was.

'Oh no, how can I forget?' I said quietly to myself. I walked around in the bedroom and saw that there were three doors. I opened the first and saw it was the closet.

'Well, if I can't find the bathroom very soon I will have to pee here in one of te corners,' I thought by myself. I quickly opened the second door and saw that this door leaded to the living room. No that was another wrong choice. I opened the third door and to my relieve I could see the toilet standing there.

After I was in bed again I layed down and I figured out that I couldn't sleep anymore. It was 3 a.m. and I knew that I still could sleep for another 7 hours. I looked at the ceiling and thought that my life was really weird at this moment.

I didn't even know what my life had looked like for the past years, well I knew a couple of things. Like who my parents were since I had seen some pictures, but some major things about my life were still gone. I promised my self that tomorrow I would call my parents and I would go and visit them soon. Because I wanted some more awnsers about my life. I also figured out that after I knew some more things about my life I would find out about Adam. First I wanted to get to know my own life after I figured out about Adam his life.

I'm soooo sorry guys! I just couldn't find the time the last two weeks. I have a new job so I was very busy and I also didn't have any inspiration. So that's why I didn't upload that long!
I also don't like this chapter so much but I don't want to write all the fun parts all at one. So I hope you enjoyed this chapter and I'm going to try and update very very soon! But I can't promise anything!

But maybe if you guys want to comment and vote some more I can write the next chapter a bit more sooner :)
