Chapter 13 - This is a new love

I tried to unlock my phone but found out that I needed a password which I couldn't remember. After trying a few times, my phone blocked itself and I let out a sigh.
'Stupid phone, just work with me.' I yelled out frustated. Just when I was finished with my sentence I heard a door fall into it's lock.
'Honey, I'm home.' I heard Adam say. Quickly I looked down at the mobile phone in my hands and put it somewhere underneed his underpants again. The bedroom door opened and Adam his head popped around the corner.
'I know we are in a relationship, but I just wanted to know what you are doing with my underpants Kay.' Adam said with a grin on his face. I felt my head turn red.
'Well, I was being a perfectly good housewife and decided to do some laundry. Since you aren't going to do it and someone has to wash those dirty clothes of yours.' I said to him, looking at his face which still had a grin on it. Adam walked towards me and gave me a kiss. Although I had been a bit pissed at him because of the phone I just melted in his arms as soon as he started to kiss me. Because of that I decided not to ask about the phone.

A couple of hours later we were sitting down eating dinner. For a change Adam had cooked and to be honest it tasted pretty good.
'By the way, I'm going to meet up with Riley tomorrow.' I said to Adam while taking another bite. I saw Adam changing something in his facial expression which I couldn't really place. He wouldn't be mad at me for going there right?
'Well that's something new I guess.' Adam said, sounding a bit more grumpier than normal.
'Yeah, I decided to text her since we didn't really had a good time the last time we saw each other.' I said to him, acting like nothing mattered. But deep inside I felt a bit of a sting. Why couldn't my boyfriend and my best friend just be friends with each other. Or not even friends but just like each other, for me. It would make everything a lot more easier since everyone already disliked Adam.
After that we just sat down and eat in silence. Adam just sat there staring and I watched some TV. This wasn't really what I remembered about our relationship. I remember days that Riley could just come over here and be friends with us, watch a movie or order some pizza. I just really hate myself for not being able to remember where it all went wrong. I remember almost everything now, except for the "bad" times Adam and I had. Well according to Riley and my family..

Luckily for me a couple hours later Adam had seem to forgot everything. Jesse had showed up after dinner and him and Adam went in front of the TV and played some stupid videogames. Well not really that stupid, I mean I was the one who was screaming the hardest in the background. After round three of a game of Mario Kart I went into the kitchen to get something to drink for everyone. I looked at the table and saw an enevelope.
'Adam, what is the enevelope about?' I yelled, since Jesse was screaming at Adam for throwing a red shell at his kart. I couldn't get any response so I decided to open it. Well it was already open so Adam wouldn't really notice it. Inside there were two invites to the People Choice Awards. I got really excited when I read it and was already thinking about a dress when I realized Adam would probably not want me to go with him, since no one knew that we were already together again. I put the invites back into the envelope and put it back where it was. When I walked into the living room again I saw that Adam and Jesse were still racing against each other so I decided to grab a book and read some. I really love to watch the boys race against each other but after a couple of rounds it is just the same and I get a bit bored.

After two hours of racing and a couple of other games Jesse left. I looked at the clock and saw that it was 11 PM. I was getting pretty tired so I decided to go back to bed when Adam walked into the room witht he envelope in his hands. I looked at him and felt my cheecks get red again, trying to act like I didn't know what that was.
'What is that?' I asked. Adam got a grin on his face again.
'Like you don't know, I heard your question but didn't want to tell you it when Jesse was still around.' He said. I felt my cheecks get a little more red.
'I know you and I have been dating in secret again. Well not really dating, I mean you just moved in with me without knowing me or knowing anything else. But I thought that it may have become time to start showing up again in public. So I thought the PCA would be the perfect chance t0 do so.' He said to me. I felt confused at first but then excitement took the overhand again.
'Aaah, are you serious?! Oh god, what do I have to wear? We have to go shopping! Oh no I have to go shopping because we can't be seen together before it, can we? No, definetely not. Oh my God, I'm so excited!' I yelled. Adam was just looking at me like I was going crazy and to be honest I was.
'Well you have two days to go dress shopping, so maybe you could go with Riley tomorrow. And on the other hand you have like one hundred other dresses in the closet so you don't really have to go dress shopping.' He said to me. I gave him an immidiately death glare. I couldn't even remember when I last went dress shopping. I mean everything before the accident just feels like two years ago. I just really hoped that Riley could get herself together and help me with finding a good dress. I walked over to Adam and gave him a big kiss. I felt his arms tighten around me and I felt safe for the first time in a long time again.

The next morning I woke up in Adam his arms again. I looked up and saw him staring at me.
'You know it is kind of creepy that I catch you staring at me every morning.' I said to him while laughing.
'It's not creepy Kaylynn, it is called love.' He said to me giving me his sweetest smile.
I rolled over to my side of the bed and grabbed my phone. I saw that it was already 10.40 AM and I had said to Riley that I would meet with her around noon. I quickly got up and grabbed some clothes to put on.
'By the way, I'm going to have to use your creditcard today Adam. I don't really know where mine is and I really need a new dress. And even if I knew where mine was I don't have a clue how much money I have and I'm sure you have enough for a beautiful dress.' I said to him, giving him my sweetest smile. Adam smiled at me and grabbed his wallet from his nightstand. He got his creditcard out and threw it at my side of the bed.
'And don't forget to buy some jewerly too, sweetheart. You only have a full closet of bracelets and earrings but why not buy some more.' He said to me smiling while walking into the bathroom. I loved his sense of humour.

I sat down in the little coffeeshop. I was there first so I decided to order a cappucino and wait for Riley. After five minutes I saw her walking in. I smiled at her and luckily she smiled back, which already took a weight of my shoulders.
'Hey girl, nice to see you again after so long.' Riley said. Although it sounded casual I could hear a bitchy tone in it. I decided to ignore it and started talking to her about all kinds of stuff, very carefully avoiding the subject Adam. After half an hour Riley all of a sudden decided to start asking me questions about him. When I said to her that I was going to the PCA with him and that I needed a dress I could see her eyes light up and she already started to dragging me out of the chair.
'Why didn't you say so earlier? Come on!' Riley said. I looked at her stunned while she ran to the cashier to pay the bill.

'What do you think about this purple one?' Riley asked me holding up a long purple dress. It looked really nice so I threw it over my arm along with the four other dresses we had already found.
After trying on a couple of dresses I came out in a black long dress which was really simple but looked really nice if I say so myself. I came out of the changing cabin, wanting to show it to Riley when I saw she was texting someone.
'Who are you texting?' I asked curiously. She looked up and I saw her face turning red.
'Well, there is this guy I met at my work. He is new and super cute.' Riley said.
'What?! And why didn't you tell me this earlier?' I asked her while sitting down next to her. Riley looked at me ashamed and she started to tell me everything about this new guy called Cody. He was amazing, handsome, cute, the best, absolutely everything according to Riley. After telling me about him for more then ten minutes Riley caught me staring at her phone.
'Is something wrong, Kaylynn?' She asked me. I was staring at her phone because I realized it was the same phone as the one I had found in Adam his drawer. I decided to tell Riley about it.
'What? You are kidding me Kaylynn. I know you won't like it what I am about to say but this is exactly what I was talking about Kay,' Riley said to me. I nodded my head, knowing that she was right. But what did I have to do about it?

I'm so so soooo sorry!!
I know I tell you guys that all the time but I know how annoying it is to read fanfics which don't upload quickly enough and I hate it that I'm a part of those fanfics...
But I'm so busy with my new study and going to college and everything. I just kinda forgot I guess..
