Chapter 10 - Go back to the way I was

The days after that Adam and I didn't really talked about our almost kiss. We just hang out with each other and pretended that it never happenend. Adam went to the studio a couple of times, leaving me behind with nothing to do. I thought about calling my parents, but I didn't feel the need to do it. I just felt very lonely whenever Adam wasn't there. Although I didn't mentioned it to him because I didn't want him to stay at home for me. Most of the times I just watched some TV and tried to remember stuff. But although my memories from my childhood were back, my whole life with Adam still seemed to be somewhere hidden in my head.

At one day I had to go back to doctor Gilhaus. I had seen him a couple of times since I had left, although I could thank some of my memories to him, he still hadn't helped me with my recent memories.

'Adam, can you take me to the hospital? I have to be at doctor Gilhaus within an hour!' I yelled to Adam who had to be somewhere in the house. Although I had lived here for a couple of weeks now I still got lost in his huge house.

'So Kaylynn, have you had some memories flowing back to you?' Doctor Gilhause asked me after our session was ended.

'Well to be honest, no..' I said to him. Doctor Gilhaus nodded and wrote it down. I always wondered what he wrote down about me. I mean all these weeks the only things I had told him were that I couldn't really remember anything. But although he still found some things to write down about me.

'Well okay. I think we need to stop for a couple of weeks Kaylynn. I've noticed that this isn't working out for you and that I can't really offer you something anymore. I suggest that you try to do some things for yourself. Go some places, talk to people and try to find pictures. So I suggest for you to do that and if you want another session you just have to call my assistent.' Doctor Gilhaus told me.

Well I already figured out this wasn't working for me after a couple of times but okay. Doctor Gilhaus and I said goodbye to each other and he wished me good luck. I walked out of his office and was suprised to see James in the waiting room.

'Hi,' James said to me standing a bit awkward in front of me.

'What are you doing here? I thought Adam was going to pick me up.'

'Well, Adam had a meeting. You know he does this show called the Voice?' James asekd me. I nodded. After I told Adam I found out everything he told me all about his life. I now know his whole life in chronological order. Which is a bit strange because I don't even know my own life.

'But he asked me to pick you up and take you somewhere. He said he would be ready within an hour or two.' James continued. I looked at my watch and saw that it was already four o'clock.

'Well why not.' I said to James. After he was with us, I hadn't really talked to him. I walked out of the hospital with James, getting all of these strange looks from people. But luckily nobody talked to James, to ask for a signature or something.

James and I went to this place to get something to drink. We sat there for two hours, just chatting and laughing with each other. I found out that James was an amazing guy to talk with. He talked to me about all kind of things, about how he and Adam had met, about all the great times he had had with Maroon 5 and ofcourse about Ali.

We talked so much that we had lost track of time. But when James was in the middle of another great story about him and Adam, his phone went of.

'Hello?' James said.

'Yes, yes of course. We will be there within a couple of minutes. Yes sorry, we just talked about all kind of things and we forgot about time. No Adam don't worry I'm not taking your girlfriend. She is all yours I swear.' James laughed at me when he said that. After he hung up the phone the phone he went to the waiter to ask for the bill.

Half an hour later James turned the car to Adam his driveway.

'Well, I guess I'll see you soon again.' James said to me.

'Aren't you comming with me?' I asked James, it seemed a little weird to just drop me of, while he hadn't seen Adam all day.

'No, I, uhm, have to go somewhere. Uh, Ali and I are going to the movie.' He said to me, trying to avoid my eyes. I just believed him and got out of the car. I waved James goodbye and walked up to the door.

Just when I wanted to put my key in the lock, the door openend. Adam was standing there with a huge smile and all dressed up. I looked at him weird when he grabbed my hand and pulled me inside. He took my jacket and took me by the arm when he took me inside.

'Adam, what is going on?' I asked him. I was beginning to become a bit suspicious because of him. But Adam wouldn't answer my question and just told me to shut my eyes. I just did what he said and I could feel his hands on my shoulders when he took me with him. He was lucky I still got lost in his house because I had no idea where he was taking me.

'Okay, here we are. You can open your eyes now,' Adam said to me. I opened them and was shocked. Adam had made this beautiful dinner. It was all so romantic. There were candles and flowers and everything was just perfect. I looked over at Adam and saw him standing there with a huge smile on his lips.

'Well what do you think?' he said to me. It was all so beautiful that I got tears in my eyes. Adam walked over to me and gave me a hug. Then he put me down on one of the chairs and got the food out of the kitchen. We said there eating and talking for a couple of hours. It looked like one of those scenes from a movie.

After we finished our meals, Adam told me to go sit down on the couch. He said he would take care of the dishes. I lay down on the couch. Although the accident was now already a long time ago I still got head aches very easily.

I heard Adam his footsteps comming towards me. When I looked up to him I saw him standing with his jacket on and he had my jacket in his hand. He told me to stand up and he put my jacket on.

'What are we going to do?' I asked him. I was still in shock of the dinner that I didn't had planned on having some more suprises.

'Well, there are all these stars outside, so I thought we could go outside for a little walk.' Adam said to me. Adam grabbed my hand and we walked outside. He was right, the weather was so clear outside that I could see all the stars. We walked for some time in his neighbourhood. Although we didn't dare to go far, because we didn't want anyone to see us. After we walked back to the house we decided to go to the backyard. Just to enjoy the stars some more.

We said down next to each other. Because it wasn't that warm outside I felt myself shiver. Adam pulled me towards him and I lay down my head on his chest. It felt so safe to lay down here with him. Just to here his heart beat and feel his warmth.

After laying down for a couple of minutes I lifted up my head and looked up at Adam his face. I saw him also looking at me. All of a sudden my heart started to beat a lot faster and I could feel myself shiver again. But this time not because of the cold. I lifted my head closer to his. I closed my eyes and I could feel his hot lips meet mine.

There I was, living the dream of a lot of teenage girls. Kissing Adam underneath the stars. And all of a sudden all the memories came floating back into my mind.

Sorry it has taken me so long to write this guys :/
I know I say that with every chapter but I'm just a busy girl!
But, I wanted to talk about something way more important!
Last monday I went to my very first Maroon 5 concert aaaaah!
So were there any other people in Amsterdam? :)
I'm just curious, but seriously they were soooo good!
Best concert of my life!!
