Fourteen

Mae's POV:

Kylo and I stand in the throne room along with General Hux and Captain Phasma. I just forswore my Supreme Leadership over to Kylo. Kylo and I just switched places. He's now Supreme Leader Ren, and I'm now his second.

After ceremony I'm dismissed to tend to Anakin while Kylo needs to stay behind for meetings and leader business. I decide its best to take Anakin outside since it's good weather today. Oh how I long for Anakin, Kylo and I to have a family day where all of us are together. I'm walking around in the forest, talking softly to Anakin when I hear Kylo's mechanical voice. "Lord Vatrix! We've captured a Jedi and need you to give the punishment." I sigh and nod, gently handing Anakin to Kylo before walking into the throne room.

I come face to face with Aaron.

"What did he do?" The words tasted sour in my mouth. General Hux sat up straighter and began to read off. "Smuggling, treason, treachery, breaking and entering." I sigh softly. The treason is punishable by death. But I'm not going to let them kill Aaron. "Release him. Take him to Jakku." General Hux goes to interject but Kylo Ren silences him.

About an hour after my encounter with Aaron I'm sitting outside holding Anakin to me when Kylo finally finds me. "What the hell Mae?! You have a Jedi who's committed crimes punishable by death and you release him." I simply look up at him. "I decide remember. Not you. That law will forever depend on me." Kylo just gives me a look. "You were being sympathetic to him! You've gone soft!" I reel back from him slightly. "I never went soft! You're the one who's going soft!" He gasps softly, looking down at me. "I have a meeting to get to."

After the argument between Kylo and I, we didn't talk for the rest of the day. I sat with Anakin in the nursery and sang softly while bouncing him on my hip.
I'm feeding Anakin in the nursery when I hear the door open. I quickly throw a small blanket over me only to see its Kylo. I gently take the blanket off and Kylo walks into the nursery. "How was he?" He asks softly and sits in the chair next to mine. "He was lovely. He's about to be done eating." Kylo nods and right on cue Anakin lets go. I gently push myself back into my tunic before holding Anakin close. "Come hold him dear." Kylo stands, his arms offering to hold the child. I gently lay Anakin in his arms and Kylo pulls him close. My heart flutters at the sight of my two boys together. I take this time to get some chores done. I decide to clean up the apartment.

Once done with cleaning up a I walk back in to find Kylo asleep, Anakin asleep on his chest. I smile softly and gently lay a blanket on to two before shutting off the lights and shutting the door behind me. Suddenly there's a knock on the main door. I open it and step out to find General Hux. "Lord Vatrix. Is Lord Ren here?" He asks and I chuckle. "Yes but he's asleep at the moment." Hux groans softly. "I'll need you to come with me then. There's a bit of a problem." I nod and begin following him to the control room. "Resistance troops are moving in on us." I nod and look at the screen on which shows what troops are moving in and where. "Encase them in the Tracktor Beam and bring them in." Hux nods and shouts an order. Soon the troops are brought in and I immediately go to the hangar to see who it all is.
Jaina.
Aaron.
Rey.
Luke.
Po.
I come face to face with all of them. They're all in shock to see me in my Sith cloak. I simply look them all in the eye then back to Hux. "Take them to the torture cells. Lord Ren and I will deal with them later." I walk, no run back to mine and Kylo's apartment to let him know who's all just been captured. I walk into the residence to find him standing at the window, talking quietly to Anakin.
"Kylo dear. You and I are needed for a quick, 'teaching', of some Jedi's here." He quickly nods getting the hint. I call in a babysitter and make sure everything is good before getting into my helmet, cloak and getting my lightsaber. "I'll take Rey and Aaron. You take Po and Jaina. Then we'll tag team Luke." He nods, going into Jaina's cell as I slowly walk into Aaron's.
"I thought I was wrong." His sudden statement makes me angry for some reason. "What are you talking about?" My voice comes mechanical and menacing. Thank you mask. I hear him let out a very shaky breath.
"Last time you were at the base, I could feel the dark side pulling at you."
The final part of his sentence takes me by surprise. I didn't think anyone else could feel it pulling at me. I simply walk around to face. The feeling of fear radiates off his body and towards me. He fears me.
"Are you afraid of me Aaron?" I watch him stiffen. "Yes, Mae I am." My own name sounds like venom in my ears. "Tell me, why are you here?" He refuses.
My dark side kicks in and I spend thirty minutes torturing the answer out him. Only thought crossed my mind.

I never thought I'd torture my favorite Jedi.

Once he finally succumbs to the pain and tells me their purpose, I leave, using the force to quickly knock him unconscious and go to Rey's cell.

She looks up at me, her face stern. "What happened to Mae? This isn't the one I knew." The name once again feels like venom and I snap. "THATS LORD VATRIX TO YOU!" I scream, suddenly realizing I just revealed my Sith side. Her eyes go wide in utter shock. Thank Force for the mask or else she would've seen the utter shock that plastered my face. "Y-You're a Sith?" I look down inside my mask. "Not only a Sith, but second in command of The First Order." Her eyes go wide once again. "No. This isn't you!" I simply shake my head. "Guess we'll do this the hard way."
I torture her answer out to see if Aaron and her stories match. They do.
I walk out and to Luke's cell, where I sit outside and wait for Kylo to get done with Po. But, I could never bring myself to torture Luke. I sneak into his cell and look him in the eyes before undoing his restraints. "Run. Fast." He complies and runs out, and away.
Kylo walks out and into the cell, then beginning to throw major tantrum. "OF COURSE HE GOT AWAY!!"
I sigh and wait outside for him. He walks out and looks at me. "Make sure the others don't get out." I nod and run to find all but Po escaped. Po walks out only to come face to face with me. "Who are y-" He collapses, his neck snapped. I suddenly realize I did it when I register my hand is raised.

I just killed Po Dameron.
