Twenty-Eight

Kylo's force signature slowly faded in and out over the next few days, which would always scare the living shit out if Mae. She was always on edge, not ever wanting to lose another person. Especially so soon after Anakin.

Hux was on constant search for who poisoned Kylo, fear of Mae's wrath fueling his search. After all, no one really knows what she'll do if Kylo dies.

Mae's POV:

Two weeks have passed since Kylo went under from the poison. Hux is getting closer to finding the culprit, but I'm now a month and a half pregnant. I'm worried it'll start some controversy on how I'm having another child. Though, this child concerns me. Her force signature is already more powerful than Anakin, and she's yet to be born.

I sit upon my throne, listening to a trial before I look up, seeing the doors opening to reveal Hux. "Lord Vatrix. We've found the culprit." With in seconds I'm up and walking towards him. He begins leading me down to the infirmary. "The traitor, he was on Naboo at the same time as you and Kylo. He snuck some poison into one of Kylo's drinks." I nod, quickly running into to see Kylo and I take his hand, lifting off my helmet and rubbing my fingers along his jaw. His eyes slowly fluttered open. "I'm going to kill whoever did this. I promise you this." I gently kiss his forehead before his eyes shut once more. I slowly stand, turning to Hux. "Take me to the culprit."

Inside the cell Im faced with Finn. Tears streak his face as his body still shakes slightly. "Mae please." Venom entered my ears. "Why should I spare you?" His entire body tensed at my question. "I was doing it to help you." His answered hissed in my ears. "BY TRYING TO KILL THE ONE I LOVE?!" He quickly reeled back at my answer as I ignited my lightsaber. He tried to push things between us but my lightsaber quickly cut through them. "Vatrix please. I'll do anything you ask." His plea rubs me wrong and I thrust my saber into his chest.

That's what you get for trying to kill my husband, asshole.

I slowly pull my lightsaber out of his chest and begin making my way back to the infirmary. Hux stops me at the door. "My Lord. Kylo Ren has been discharged and is on his way to your residence now." I nod and began walking that way.

I see his figure and I quickly catch up, throwing his arm around my shoulders and he holds onto to me for dear life as we get back to out residence. His blood still has some poison but it's not enough to hurt him anymore. His head turns to look at me, a concerned look in his eye. "Mae please. You're pregnant I'll be fine." "Kylo, I'm not even showing. I'm helping my husband to his room." He quit trying to argue with me after that, knowing he wasn't going to win. I continued helping him to our room. Once inside, I gently sit him on the bed and he tries to stand. "I need to shower." I nod and help him to the shower. Once he's in I lay some night clothes out and walk out. I slowly climb into bed, humming softly as I wait for Kylo so I can cuddle him. I put my cloak and helmet on my side table once I hear the water turn off. 

After twenty minutes of silence Kylo slowly climbs into bed, laying his head on my chest like a child and his arms wrap around my waist. "Thank you for helping me." He whispered softly, kissing my chest. I chuckle softly and run my fingers through his ebony locks. "I love you, so very much Mae." He whispers softly and looks up at me. "I love you too Kylo." I whisper softly and he gently places his lips on mine. "Please, hold me." He whispers and I nod, keeping my husbands body close to mine for the time being. His breathing slowed and evened out. Right then I knew he was asleep. My fingers continued curling through his hair as he stayed snuggled to my body. My god he was so peaceful when he slept. My fingers comb through his hair and feel sleep pulling at me, wanting to seduce me, and I let it.

I slowly wake up a few hours after my nap and find Kylo still asleep on my chest. I slowly wriggle out from under him and begin putting my cloak and helmet on. Once on I walk out and to a meeting with Hux. I take my seat in my chair and the meeting begins. "The resistance has his on the planet of Jakku, ready to fire. They only way in is through an escape pod. Lord Vatrix, would you be up for such a journey?" I smile softly at the slight concern.

"Of course. When do I leave?"
