Mae's POV:
Three months.
I'm three months pregnant with our second child. I've started showing but not bad. It's just a little bump, enough for Kylo to lay his gorilla hand on and not completely cover my stomach. He's gotten to where he talks to her at night when he can't sleep. It brings a smile to my face every time I hear him talk to his little girl.
Today I woke up with morning sickness and just stayed in our chambers today, cleaning tidying things up. It truly needed the cleaning. I'm showering when I hear the main door open. The heavy footsteps answer my question that it's Kylo. I massage shampoo into my hair as I hear the bathroom door open. "Mae?" His voice calls out and I answer. "Somethings happened. I need you to go to the meeting room as soon as you can." "Okay. I should be out soon." His footsteps clunk away and out of the chambers, leaving me to finish up.
Once done showering I get out, drying off and putting on my robes before putting on my helmet. I quickly make my way to the meeting room, wondering what exactly could be so urgent. I walk into the room, making my way to my seat at the head as Hux clears his throat. "The resistance is now under a new general. General Rey Skywalker. She's risen and is harboring a dark secret. She's running a Jedi training program. Twelve younglings right now, all of them advancing quickly." His words are like venom against my eardrums. "Then I'll go and slaughter them, or take them as younglings for myself." Everyone's head turns towards me. "Lord Vatrix, are you sure you're up for such a fight?" Kylo inquires, his concerns for the baby well hidden. "You're right. I won't dare face Rey. You can go and I'll train our seconds in your absence." Hux clears his throat. "Supreme leader, it must be you to go. To strike fear into their hearts and crush their spirits of the resistance inside them." My mask face turns to Hux, anger radiating off my body. "Hux, tell me what to do one more time and it'll be your head on a sliver platter. Do you understand?"
Hux reels back at the threat and so does everyone else. "Yes, Supreme Leader I understand well." His voice wavers slightly and I nod softly. "Anymore questions?" I look around the room to find everyone shaking their heads. I slowly stand from my seat, making my way to the door and going to train my apprentice.
The training room door swings open to reveal Alex meditating. I let him continue as I remove my helmet and cloak. His eyes pop open and he looks towards me. His power has doubled in the time we've spent training. "Alex, I think you're ready to build your lightsaber." Alex eyes light up. "I have some crystals in my chambers. Let me go get them and the parts for a lightsaber. I'll help you build it." I put on my cloak and helmet, walking to my chambers.
Shortly I've returned with the parts and crystals. I give them to Alex. "You have one month." He nods and quickly takes the parts, beginning to work.
I leave him to it, going to my chambers when I walk in to see Kylo. "Mae. My it's good to see you." His arms wrap around my waist, pulling me to his chest. I lift off my helmet, crashing my face into his chest. "Kylo I'm scared. I'm scared for our child. I'm scared of everything." Kylo slowly pulls back, his fingers coming up and wiping my tears softly. "Mae, as long as I'm with you, you will have nothing to worry about." His fingers brush through my hair and he gently kneels, kissing my stomach softly.
He stands back up, lacing my fingers with his. "Come. Sit down and relax." I nod, lifting my cloak off and gently laying it on a chair before sitting on the bed. He being me to his chest and his fingers work out knots in my shoulders and neck. His hands move to my back, which I greatly needed. His lips kiss my shoulders softly as his fingers rub my back and lower back.
"Why are you so tense?" His lips whisper against my skin and I shiver softly. "Because like I said, I'm scared of everything that could go wrong with having this child." His fingers stop their work on my back and trail to my stomach where they rest. "And like I said, nothing will go wrong as long as I'm around." I smile softly at his reassurance and let myself fall back against his chest. "I still think you need to be careful now that you're starting to show." He whispers and goes back to kissing my shoulders. I smile softly, turning around and pressing my lips gently to his.
••••
That night I stand in the shower, humming softly as I run my fingers through my hair, washing it out. I step out with a towel wrapped around my body to find Kylo staring. "My god your beautiful." I blush softly at his comment. "I am not." He sighs at my response and walks to me, taking my waist into his hands. "Why don't you see the beauty I see?" He inquired.Once we were both clean we climbed into bed, his chest against my back and his hands on my stomach. "Babe, could I talk to the baby?" I giggle softly and sit up. I lean my back against the head board. He brings he face to my stomach, kissing it softly and beginning to talk to our little girl. I can't hear what's said but I can feel her squirming around inside me. I gently rests my hand on his as he continues.
Once he's done he's laying behind me once more, hands resting on my stomach. He's sleeping peacefully, earning a smile from me. This baby, it's doing good things for him. Making him such a happier person.
