Mae's POV:
Alone.
That's what I will be once the new Starkilker base is up and functional. But I'm just fine with that in all honesty. Kylo's kinda gotten annoying, always by my side, always worrying about the baby. It concerns me a bit. He's supposed to be a dark Sith Lord, but it almost seems as if he's going back to The Light Side, just like Darth Vader. He did say he admired Vader after all.
Once I'm done 'crying' for Kylo he leaves to go check on some business and I'm left alone with my thoughts. I don't really even want Kylo as my second anymore. I'd rather recruit and train my own second. It seems more, natural to me.
I summoned to my throne room. Jedi's must have been captured. I slowly walk in to find my suspicions incorrect. Two children stand in front of my throne, Kylo next to them. "Lord Vatrix. Since I have decided to rule the Starkiller planet base, I will train my second and you will train a new one. Take your pick." I eye the boy for a little bit, sensing immense power coming from him. "The boy." My metallic voice came out and Kylo lead the girl away. I slowly stepped off my throne. Once everyone cleared out, I slowly removed my helmet and knelt down to his level. The boys green eyes widened at seeing my actual face. "We'll start training in an hour. I just need to tend to something first. Stay here, okay?" He nods, eyes still holding contact with mine. I stand back up, sliding on my helmet and walking out. I run to my residence, searching for my blaster and single blade red lightsaber. I soon here the door open and turn to see Kylo. "What are you looking for dear?" I say, finding the blaster and lightsaber. He smiled. "An old robe that the child can use." I suddenly remembered I have some child size training robe from the resistance. I slowly pulled out a gray one, handing it to him. He gives me a confused look before walking away.
I take the black one I've chosen for the boy back to the throne room. "So what's your name?" I lift off my helmet after making sure the door was locked. "Alex." I nodded and turned around to face him. "Here is your training robe Alex. Well start by honing and sharpening your powers in your mind. Okay?" He nods, and we begin.

Four hours pass before he can just barely block a small amount of a push to read his thoughts. He's trying so hard to read my thoughts while protecting his own. I admire his determination. Dinner has rolled around and I decide to let Alex go eat before we start the next stage. I'm on my way to my residence when I run into Hux. "Lord Vatrix. How did your training go?" His voice aggravates me sometimes. "Good. He's a strong minded boy." I reply before turning down the hall to my apartment. I walk in, finding Kylo already in there, helmet off. His lips curl into a smile as I lift my helmet off. "Hello beautiful." One arm wraps around my waist and one hand rubs my stomach softly. "Eight more months." I smile softly, placing my hand on top of his. His lips kiss my forehead softly and he hugs me to his chest.

After dinner I'm waiting in the throne room for Alex when he finally walks in. "I'm sorry Lord Vatrix. Kylo Ren was talking to me and I was trying to be polite." I chuckle and nod, gently stepping off my throne. "Which side would you like to learn first? Light, or Dark side?" I inquired and he looked hard in thought. "Light." He answered and I nodded. We ended up training until the wee hours of the night, me mainly trying to help him build his mental shields against me. But once I realize what time it is, I send him off to bed and make my way back to Kylo. I walk in to find him already in bed and asleep. After I've changed into one of Kylo's lounging shirts and my underwear I slowly slide under the covers. His arms take my waist captive and my head finds its place on his chest. He's unusually warm tonight. He might be sick. I slowly sit up, his eyes opening and my hand touches his face softly. He's burning up. "Kylo honey are you sick? You're burning up." I kiss his forehead gently and quickly slide out from under the covers, helping him up as I can visibly see he's dizzy. He uses me for support as I help him down to the infirmary. Just as we get down there he collapses onto one of the clear beds. Medics immediately begin tending to him, trying to figure out what's wrong. They soon figure out he's been poisoned.
Poisoned.
That's impossible. But from what exactly? More likely who? I quickly stand and make my way to Hux's quarters. I throw open the door and call the man to my grip in seconds. His eyes portray him as they show nothing but fear. "Kylo Ren has been poisoned. I want to know who, or what did it! When you find them, bring them to me." I throw the man back to his quarters before storming back off to the infirmary. I know I should go home because this stress isn't good for the baby, but I can't just leave him there. But as soon as I walk back in a nurse stops me. "Lord Vatrix. Please go home and get some rest. You're pregnant and stress really isn't good for the baby." She's right about that. I make my way to Kylo's room and sit next to him. I take his hand and kiss his head goodnight before walking back down to my residence. I slowly slide back into the covers, they are cold and uninviting as I lay there by myself, worried sick over my husband.
