Thirty-Nine

Mae stormed down the hall after receiving the news of what Ren had done.

Running into captain Phasma, she grabbed her and made her face Mae. "If you see lord Ren, tell him to meet me in the gardens." She then stormed off, rage fuming off her.

Ren was in the med bay, having medics fashion a gray suit after Vader's. "Lord Vatrix and I are about to to get into a huge fight. I can feel it. One of us will not come back. I can also feel it."

Just seconds later Phasma came in, stopping when she saw Ren. "Lord Ren. Lord Vatrix needs you in the gardens." Ren nodded, knowing what was coming.

He made his way to the gardens, leaving his helmet in the medical bay. As he made his way into the gardens, he could see Mae pacing. He stepped on a dead leaf, causing her head to shoot up.

"YOU TOOK MY CHILD FROM ME!" Mae screamed, tears brimming in her eyes.

"Mae, I had too!" Ren said, slowly stalking towards her but Mae threw her hand up, backing away from him for every step he took.

"Stay away from me!" Mae yelled, knocking him back back with the force.

Ren only went back a few feet, but he knew she wasn't going to forgive him. Not this time. Not ever. His suspicions were only confirmed when she ignited her double lightsaber and charged towards him.

Ren blocked her every attack, lightsabers clashing as one was trying to kill the other. Mae stabbed at him only to be blocked by his lightsaber. Ren started running and she started chasing him through the snowy garden.

Ren turned around just in time to block a hit, holding both lightsabers at a stand off.

"Mae please! Don't do this! Come with me and I'll show you the light side again!" Mae swung her lightsaber around, causing Ren to lose of his own and it was flung away from them. Ren then fell on his back to get away from her lightsaber.

"Never will I turn back to the light! If you won't join me on the dark side, THEN YOU DIE WITH THE JEDI!!"

She screamed and charged, only to have Ren call his lightsaber back just in time for him to strike her in the face. A scream of agony ripped from Mae's body as she fell back, her blood falling and staining the once white snow. Ignoring the pain, she stood, charging at Ren once more. Ren ran, climbing on top of a boulder.

"It's over Mae! I have the high ground!" Mae began to shift like she was ready to pounce towards him. "Don't do it Mae!" Though, she jumped towards Ren.

Out of defense, he thrusted his lightsaber into her chest, earning another rip of agony from her. Her fell to the ground almost lifeless. Ren picked up her lightsaber, stalking off away from her body.

He had just left to only woman he truly loved for dead. His wife, mother of their twins. He tried to kill her, and now he's left her for dead. Just like he did Han and Leia. But no matter. He did it to protect his child.

Slowly Ren makes his way to Jerec's crib, taking him into his arms. He slowly carried him to his personal ship. After climbing in he secured Jerec and then sped off into Outter space.

He landed on Takadona at a hut with Luke. He slowly got out, taking Jerec into his arms and carrying him inside the hut.

"Uncle Luke. You and I need to take the child far away from the First Orders jurisdiction." Luke nodded, understanding where his nephew was coming from. "Ben. We'll go to Tatooine. For you and I both know The First Order does not reach that far."

Ben nodded, looking down at his son swaddled in his arms. "Please uncle. Will we train him in the light side?" Luke looked at the child, knowing the child would be strong in the force one day. Luke slowly nodded.

"Yes Ben. We will." He nodded softly. "But we must get going. Quickly I might add." Ben nodded and the three loaded into Bens personal shuttle.

"There she is!" Alex yelled, running through the snowy forest to his slain master. Mae laid there, barely holding onto to life. The medics quickly loaded her into a stretcher, carrying her to the Med Bay. As they took her to get help, she began hearing voices.

"My dear child, do not let go." A mans voice rang through her head. "Who are you?" Mae's voice rang out. "I'm your father, Obi-Wan Kenobi."

They laid Mae upon a table and immediately tended to the lightsaber hole still burning in her chest. She screamed out as they replace part of her heart and lungs. The wound on her face had burned her left eye out completely. She sat in the freezing snow for a good hour before they found her, causing almost everything to the frozen.

The suit was put on piece by piece and finally the helmet was attached to her head. Slowly, the medical table raised her up and her dark, heavy breathing could be heard as she inhaled and exhaled. Slowly, she turned to Alex. "Where is Jerec? Is he okay?" Alex shrunk back slightly. "No Darth Vatrix. Kylo Ren took him when he left the base.

Vatrix let out a screamed full of rage and everything in the room began bending and twisting upon itself.

"I must make an announcement. Gather everyone in the base in front of the stage." Alex quickly nodded. "Yes master." And with that the two were gone.

The crowd fell silent as Darth Vatrix slowly steps up to the podium in front of the thousands of troopers and clones. The officers trained behind her, all of them looking out towards the crowd as her breath support could be heard through the microphone.
Everyone held their breath in anticipation for what she would say.

"This will not be the age of prosperity for the Jedi! But the Age of Destruction!" Her dark voice boomed through the microphone, echoing down the snowy canyon. Everyone cheered in response as she slowly stepped off the podium, followed by personal guards and the officers.

This was how the The Jedi Order began to die. With thunderous applause.
