Chapter 3

My morning classes seamed to go by really fast, and before I knew it, it was already time for lunch. I found Kim, Kristen, and Dimitri sitting in our usual table. I headed over there not bothering to get anything to eat.

"Hey guys" I said while sitting down.

They looked up and Dimitri said "Are you going to get something to eat?"

Shaking my head I said "No, I don't really feel like eating anything right now"

Kim looked at me and said "You should, maybe that's why your stomach was hurting all morning."

I looked at her and said "No, my stomach doesn't have a sharp pain like I have now. It's got to be something else."

Kristen sighed and said "Sarah, you really should get something to eat, I mean we're all really worried about you, your acting strange."

Dimitri and Kim looked at Kristen, then they looked back at me and said "Yea we both agree with Kristen, you really should get something to eat."

Sighing I said "I'd rather just go home and rest, I'll see you guys later."

Smiling I got up and left, feeling like crap ignoring my friends and just leaving like that. 'I've got a lot of explaining to do when I get home' I said to my self as I headed out to my car.

Chapter 4

I went out to my car and got in to head home. But when I got there the pain in my stomach came back and it was 10 tomes worse that it was this morning. I sat back, but the pain was to much. I screamed before passing out in my car in front of my house. The only thing I remember was hearing voices, but I couldn't see anything.

I woke up hours later and I realized I was in my bed. When I tried to get up the pain in my stomach came back. I groaned and laid back down to relax. My parents came in minutes after and I could tell my mom had been crying and my dad had a worried look on his face.

I smiled weakly and said "Hey mom, hey dad."

My mom looked down at me and said "Oh sweetie are you ok? You had us really worried, when you never came in."

Looking at my mom I said "Yea mom I'm fine, I just had a pain in my stomach, nothing to worry about."

My dad looked down at me then and said "How long has the pain been going on?"

Looking at him now I said "Since this morning why? What's going on?"

Sighing my dad said "There's something you need to know, but before we tell you, you have to stay calm, ok?"

Thinking for a moment I then looked at both of them and said "Ok, what's going on?"

My mom was the first to speak. "We're not your real parents, they died when you were just a baby and your real mom asked us to look after you before she died."

Looking from one to the other I said "So, you're my adopted parents then?"

My adopted father cut in to say "Well I guess you could say that, but we're really your aunt and uncle. But if you want to call us mom and dad, you're welcome to, you know that."

Nodding I said "Ok, not to be rude but if you don't mind I'd like to go to bed."

My aunt and uncle nodded and they both said "Goodnight, and we're sorry we didn't tell you sooner."

Faking a smile I said "Goodnight and it's fine, at least you told me know instead of telling me never."

They smiled and left the room. I laid down and for the first time in 8 years, I cried myself to sleep.
