Chapter 5
I was dreaming that I was in a beautiful meadow. I could feel the wind softly blowing around me, like a soft whisper on my skin. The weather was wonderful, it felt like I was standing in the middle of no where enjoying a view. I walked around the meadow, taking in the view, for it was amazing and I somehow couldn't get enough of it. I closed my eyes while taking it all in, and when I opened them, there were trees to my left. I backed away slowly, for I realized that this meadow was really weird. I looked around the meadow thinking to myself 'ok, this is really weird, this is not a normal meadow.'
Suddenly, there was a sound coming from the trees. When I looked over there was an old lady there. I backed away a couple more steps when her voice stopped me "Don't be afraid child, I'm here to bring you grave news."
"What do you mean?"
"I mean, you are in grave danger, and you must get to safety before you're captured and taken to the Dark Queen."
I looked at her for a couple of minutes and said "Who is the Dark Queen and what does she want from me?"
Sighing she stepped closer until she was standing right and front of me and she said "Miranda, who is the Dark Queen wants you because you are a Snow Angel, the right one for the throne. You must practice you're powers before you face off with her, and destroy her."
"Wait, your saying I'm a Snow Angel, and that I'm the rightful Queen for the throne that the Dark Queen has?"
"Yes, that right"
I studied her and then I busted out laughing. "You... are... so... funny." I said while laughing.
"I can't believe you think I'm a Snow Angel, I mean I'm not that strong, and I hate fighting."
The old lady was glaring at me as she said "Have you had any sharp pains in your stomach recently?"
I looked at her and said "Yea, but what does that have to do with-
"Then that should be enough to tell you that you are changing, you're the chosen one to protect Earth."
I looked at her and said "How is any of this possible?"
"You should wonder about that later, now you must wake up and get out while you still can, the queen's guards will be at your house soon to kidnap you. You must go somewhere safe."
"Ok, but who are you?"
"Child let's just say I'm a friend, a friend of your mom's."
"Go on child I shall see you soon."
"Ok, well thanks for everything I guess."
"You're welcome child, now you must go."
And with that she disappeared, and I woke up to a new nightmare.
Chapter 6
I woke up to a piercing and I sat up and looked over at my door. I could see movement just outside and that's when I new I was in danger. I jumped out of my bed and went to my walk in closet. I grabbed clothes and my bag and started to pack. I then ran into my bathroom and grabbed my toothbrush, tooth past, my brush, and my deodorant.
I then ran back to my bag and threw everything in there and zipped my bag up. I was just running to my window when I heard the voices.
"Well, where is the little weakling?"
"I don't know, maybe she's in that room"
"Maybe, let's go see"
I could hear footsteps getting closer. I shoved my window open and jumped onto the roof. The men just opened the door when they seen me.
"There you are girly, you're going to have to come with us I'm afraid"
Looking at them I said "I don't think so" and I jumped off the roof.
I closed my eyes as I fell to the ground. I figured I'd rather die than go with complete strangers. Before I hit the ground I held my breath waiting for the impact, but when I opened my eyes, I realized I was already on the ground. I looked up at the roof and saw the two guys standing there dumbfounded. I smiled my sweet smile and ran off into the night.
I didn't know where I was going, or what I was suppose to do, I just now that I couldn't get caught by those men. I ran and ran until I couldn't run anymore. As I slowed down to take a breather, I realized I was in town. I rested my hands on my knees while trying to take deep breathes to fill my lungs with air.
I stood strait and walked around town while waiting for my breathing to slow down. I was looking around when I heard more voices in an alley way.
"Well, did you get her?"
"No, she got away when we went into her room. She jumped off her roof and stuck the landing too."
"You two are idiots, the queen wants the girl and you let her go. Now how are we going to find her?"
"Oh she won't go to far, because her aunt and uncle are dead."
"What!?"
"We killed her aunt and uncle because they wouldn't tell us where she was."
"You two are big time idiots. You better hope the queen doesn't hear about this. Because she'll have your hides if she does"
"I'd say that would hurt, a lot."
"Whatever, just get in the van and meet me in town. We're going to find the girl no matter what."
"Yes sir"
The stranger sighed and started to turn around. I gasped as I seen his face. It was Dimitri's dad.
Chapter 7
He seemed so nice when I met him for the first time when Dimitri and I became friends. I wanted to run up to him and scream 'how could you do this to your own son?' but I knew if I did that, I would get captured and taken to the Dark Queen. He stared walking towards the way where I was and I quickly backed up and hid as best as I could. I heard him stop at the end of the alley way as a tan van came around the corner. The two guys from my house got out and walked over to him.
"So how are we going to find her?"
"Maybe if we lied to her saying we had one of her friends, she might come for them and fall for our trap."
I saw Dimitri's dad flinch at that and he said "No, I won't lie to her about her friends like that, I won't do that to my son."
"Oh, but you'll keep it a secret for the fact that you want to kidnap your son's best friend and hand me over to the Dark Queen?" I said coming out of my hiding place. I realized that was a mistake after I said the things I just did. All three guys looked at me, but I looked at Dimitri's dad and said "How could you do this to your own son?"
Dimitri's dad sighed and said "It's the only job I could find to make enough money for Dimitri and I."
"That's no excuse for what you're doing to him."
"Sarah you don't understand-
"No, you're right I don't, I don't understand how you could do this to me, let alone your own son."
Dimitri's dad took a couple steps forward until he was right in front of me and said "You'll understand why I did this someday, It's the only way to keep Dimitri alive. I'm sorry to do this to you but-"
I felt something sting my arm, then the next thing I know, everything around me went black as I fell into George's arms.
