Chapter 9
I walked around in the meadow taking in the view while waiting to see what happened. I decided to sit in the middle and take in the smell of the flowers around me.
I closed my eyes and the next thing I knew, the trees that were there last time I was here, were back. I opened my eyes and looked into the trees waiting to see of the old lady would come out. I waited a couple minutes then I got up and that's when I saw a figure moving in the shadows.
I took a deep breath and started walking towards the trees. That's when the old lady appeared from them. I saw the disbelief on her face as I walked towards her.
"Child, do you not realize how much danger you're in right now?"
"No, I didn't because I thought those guys were good that's why they stuck me with a needle." I said sarcastically.
She stood there glaring at me for a couple minutes before she said "I warned you, I warned you that you had to get out of town. And what did you do? You stuck around until you got caught and now you may have just found your ticket to heaven."
"Look lady, I'm sorry about all this, but I know for a fact that I'm not going to die now."
"Child, that's what they all say but the end up dying anyway."
"Not me, I have a plan and it's going to help me escape alive."
"Very well, but if it doesn't lets just say that I'll have the right to say I told you so."
I nodded at her and turned to walk back towards the flowers but I stopped and looked back at her and said "Hey, thanks for helping me and I know that my plan will work. I just want you to support me."
The old lady looked at me for a couple of minutes before she said "Child, you are so much like your mother. You believe in anything you set your mind to. You have my support, I just pray to god and hope that you'll make it out alive."
I smiled at her and said "Thank you, that really means a lot to me."
I stared to walk away, but I turned around and asked "Was my mother nice?"
The old lady smiled and said "She was the sweetest thing in the world, she was an angel."
I smiled and walked away from the trees and the old woman. That's when I heard voices and I felt someone shaking me.
"Sarah, wake up we're here at the restaurant , come on."
Sighing I got up and got out of the van and followed the guys inside.
Chapter 10
We ate silently for a while and then a phone was ringing. I saw George get up and walk away to talk on the cell phone. I had very good hearing, so I knew exactly what was being said. I just didn't want the other guys looking at me so I pretended to be distracted by something else.
"Hello?"
"Did you get her?"
"Yes, she's with us, it was hard but we have her with us."
"Excellent, I've been waiting for this day for a long time."
"My queen when would you like us to be at the palace?"
" 4 days, that's all we have and you better not disappoint me, we would hate to see your son pay for the price."
"You have Dimitri there?"
"Why yes, yes I do. I want to make sure you do your job and not do anything stupid."
"How could you!?"
I looked over at George and I swore that I could see tears in his eyes. I tuned back into their conversation just in time to hear what she had to say.
"We had a deal, and I want to make sure your not one of those stuck up liars. I want that girl in 4 days or I will and I repeat will kill your son with out hesitation got it?"
I heard George sigh as he said "Yes my queen, I got it." Then he hung up. He walked back over to our table and I kept my eyes on him waiting to see what he would do next.
He just sat there staring at the table, thought I knew he knew I was looking at him. He sighed and looked at me and I shook my head and went back to eating. After we were done eating, I told the guys I had to go to the bathroom but that I'd be right back.
They all nodded and I took off in the direction if the bathroom. I could feel strange eyes on my back while I walked but I didn't dare turn around to see who it was.
I got into the bathroom and I thanked god silently that there was a window big enough for me to squeeze through in there. I ran and grabbed onto the ledge then I opened the window and pulled my self out of the bathroom. I walked away from the restaurant.
I walked quite a ways until I ended up in the small town that was a couple miles from the restaurant.
I took in the view as I made my way on the sidewalk looking at all the buildings around me. Suddenly I heard something behind me and I turned around but saw nothing there.
I sighed and turned around and began to walk forward when I felt a strong hand wrap around my waist while another hand covered my mouth to prevent me from screaming.
I began to struggle from his grip but I couldn't get loose, I felt his lips to my ear as he said to me "Dormir." and I slumped against him falling into a dreamless sleep as he picke me up and carried me away.
