Chapter 35

I found myself in the meadow again and I thought that I was gonna have another nightmare about me getting killed by the Dark Queen, but I realized that this time I wouldn't have to worry about a nightmare.

I looked around but didn't bother to get up because I thought it would be pointless to do so.

I sighed and sat up and I froze because I came face to face with Glenda. My breathing caught and my eyes went wide as she stood two feet from me.

I wanted to talk to her but I couldn't seam to find the words to say anything so I slowly stood up and continued to stare at her.

She smiled and said "Child, don't grieve over me for you have a job that you must finish now and you can grieve over me later."

I stared at her and said "What happened to you?"

She sighed and said "I was very old for my age Sarah. How hold do you think I was?"

I took a deep breath and said "I'd say you looked like you were in your 90's."

She smiled and said "I was actually 105. I've somehow lived for that long."

My eyes widened and I asked "You were 105?"

She nodded and said "Yes I was. I guess you could call me a witch instead of a human."

It was silent for a couple minutes and she slowly walked up to me until I felt her hand on my shoulder.

I sighed and looked over at her and said "What if I can't kill the Dark Queen?"

She looked at me and said "You can Sarah, you're very strong for your kind and you're very amazing."

I smiled at her words and said "Thanks Glenda and I promise not to let you down."

She smiled at me and said "I'm not worried about you at all Sarah. I have faith in you and I know you'll do good. Now I must go but I wish you luck and keep those you care about close."

With that she disappeared and I sighed and sat down for a couple minutes then laid down and closed my eyes and came out of my dream.

I opened my eyes and everything seamed blurry. So when I reached up to rub my eyes I realized that I have been crying. I wiped my eyes and sat up looking around.

Jake was over on the bed and I guess that my mom, Corey, and Dimitri were in the back asleep.

I quietly got up and walked through the kitchen and out the door. I stopped dead in my tracks as I looked out to see Jamie sitting on the steps not moving.

I opened the door and went out and sat beside her.

It was silent for a couple minutes then I broke it by saying "Hey you holding up ok?"

She looked over at me and said "Yea it's just hard losing someone that means everything to you."

I sighed and said "I know what you mean."

She sighed and looked over at me and said "Thank you."

I looked over at her and said "For what?"

She smiled and said "You've been very awesome and helpful to Glenda and I'm glad I got to have the chance to get to know you Sarah."

I smiled at her and said "Your welcome. This is my job anyway so it's not like I don't mind."

She smiled and said "I know and I'm glad I had the chance to meet you."
