Chapter 21
I don't know how long its been. It felt like days but it was only hours. I woke up with something around my neck and right at that moment I realized what had happened to me. The memory came rushing back to me fast.
The cold skin, the pain corsing through me, everything that happened to me these past couple weeks, only ment that I was changing. And fast.
I sat up and looked around. I saw Jake asleep on the floor next to the couch, but he was laying the same way I had been. I looked down at my neck and saw a very beautiful necklace hanging down. It was amazing and it seamed to have the effect of taking anybody's breath away.
Minutes later I heard grumbling and saw Jake was talking in his sleep. I chuckled and shook my head. I decided to attempt to wake Jake up.
"Jake?"
He didn't open his eyes so I tried again. This time I leaped off the couch and knelted down beside him.
"Jake?"
He still didn't wake us so I began to shake him to try to wake him up.
"Jake? Come on wake up"
He groaned and opened his eyes. He layed there for a while still half asleep. When he seen me his eyes got really wide.
"Oh god, Sarah! Your alright, your alive."
He sat up and pulled me into his arms to hold me close to him.
"Yea, I guess I am, but I wouldn't have been without you."
He still held me close and said "I thougt I was gonna lose you, I thought you were dying."
I took comfort in him holding me so I simply said "That's what happens to a Snow Angel. They begin to feel pain and the only way for them to survive is to have a necklace like this."
I sat up and showed him the necklace that now hanged around my neck. He sucked in a breath, then looked at me and said "And that is what's keeping you alive."
I nodded grateful that he understood. It was silent for a minute between us but then there was a loud noise coming from outside.
I got up and started to head outside with Jake by my side. We both stepped out the door and I stopped dead in my tracks as I seen him in front of me.
He was here, and he was bleeding, really bad. I felt like crying because I thought he would surly be dead, but he's here, right in front of me.
Dimitri
I slowly approached him, not wanting to scare him or anything.
My voice was just a whisper but I knew he would hear.
"Dimitri?"
He looked at me with a confused look on his face at first, but then it turned into shock once he realized who I was.
"Sarah? Oh god Sarah thank god your alive."
"Dimitri what happened to you?"
He had an uneasy look on his face as he said "I was torchured by the Dark Queen."
I flinched back and said "Come on lets go get you cleand up."
He nodded and followed me into the kitchen. Jake was behind him giving him death glares which was kinda funny but I wouldn't say anything to him about it now.
I grabbed alcohol rub and a rag and went over to Dimitri and said "Alright you better sit down for this cuz this is gonna hurt, a lot."
He nodded and sat down. I began to clean him up and he'd flinch every now and then, but he wouldn't scream or groan.
