Chapter 25
I found myself in the meadow again where I was before. I searched and searched for someone or something but couldn't find what I was looking for.
I started walking around trying to see if I could see anything, but as I went farther through the meadow, I found a dead body laying on the ground.
I covered my mouth to keep from screaming and when I turned around Jake was standing there. But something was off about him because he had a weird look on his face that started to creep me out.
I slowly walked up to him and stopped a couple feet from him.
'Jake you ok?'
He didn't answer me, he only stepped closer to me and took my face in his hands. I was about to speak again but his lips came crashing down on mine and I was in complete shock.
He pulled back and then shoved something through my chest and I fell to the ground screaming. I looked up to see that his place had been taken by the Dark Queen.
She had an evil grin on her and she held out her hand and it began to glow black.
Her power left her hand and hit me and I screamed.

I woke up with sweat running down my face and I was breathing heavily. I looked around but couldn't see anyone close by. Then I looked over to find Jake wasn't with me.
I got up and started to walk around when I felt hands wrap around me and a voice said "I didn't leave you, I just went to get some water but I didn't come back to bed cuz I wanted to watch over you while you slept."
I turned around to see Jake staring at me with a soothing expression but I could also see a worried expression from him to. I sighed and went to head back to bed but Jake spun me around and held me close as he said "Something's wrong what is it?"
I sighed and said "Nothing, it was just a nightmare nothing serious.."
He eyed me for a couple minutes but then he pulled me to bed and layed down beside me. We layed there in silence for a little bit then he said "Do you mind telling me what the nightmare was about?"
I sighed and said "It was about you and the Dark Queen."
"What happened?"
"I was walking around the meadow and I came across a dead body. I turned around and you were not far behind me so I walked towards you and stopped a couple feet from you and asked if you were ok. You didn't answer instead you walked right up to me and cupped my face in your hands and before I started to speak you kissed me and I was in shock. The next thing I knew you stabbed me in the chest and I fell to the ground screaming in pain. But when I looked up the Dark Queen was standing above me smiling and she finished me off by using her powers."
Jake was silent for a little bit but then he wrapped his arm around me and said "Come here."
I scooted over to him and he held me close as he said "I'm not going to let her hurt you and I'd never kiss you without your permission. I respect you too much to even pull something like that."
I was silent for a couple minutes but then I raised my head to whisper in his ear.
"Thank you."
I sat up then and looked down at him and he began to stroke my cheek with his thumb.
"You know I'd do anything for you, right Sarah?"
I nodded but then asked "If I asked you to kiss me, would you do that?"
He hesitated then said "Only if you wanted me to. It's your choice not mine."
I nodded, then leaned down to whisper in his ear.
"Would you please kiss me Jake?"
I pulled back a little and felt Jake's fingers under my chin as he raised my face up to look at him.
"Are you sure?"
I looked him straight in the eyes as I said "Yes."
He leaned up to me and gently pressed his lips to mine but pulled back seconds later. I opened my eyes to see that he was staring at me with a pained expression on his face.
I was about to open my mouth to ask him if he was alright but he quickly sat up and pressed his lips against mine for the second time. My arms snaked around his neck while his arms went to my waist to hold me closer to him.
We were both breathing heavily when we parted and I looked up into his eyes to see that he really cared about me.
I hugged him and then layed down. After a couple minutes he layed beside me and draped his arm around my waist and we fell asleep holding each other for the second time.
