Chapter 29
I felt like time froze as I stood there with Dimirti in front of me. I wanted to yell at him and beat him up and show him how much he hurt me. But I couldn't. No matter how much I wanted to show Dimitri how much he hurt me I couldn't do it.
We all three were silent for a couple minutes but then Dimitri spoke up.
"Before you yell at me, I just wanted to say that I'm sorry for what I said, but I could never leave you. And when we were all in the meadow before and you said that it wasn't to late to change sides. I want to know if it's still to late or not. You were right and the only reason why I said those things to you was because my father said he'd punch me as hard as he could if I didn't say those things to you. I'm really sorry for all that I said and I just want to know if it's still to late to change sides."
Jake stared at him dumbfounded while I was in shock. He never meant to hurt me, it was all his fathers doing.
I walked up to him and placed a hand on his shoulder as I said "No, it's not to late to change sides."
I saw relief wash over his face and he pulled me into a hug. I returned the hug but stepped back a couple seconds later.
It was silent for a couple minutes but then Jake broke that silence.
"C'mon guys, we better get back to the cabin."
We nodded and I went over to Jake and took his hand and pulled him towards the cabin with Dimirti behind us.

We got back to the cabin and we went inside. Everyone was in the living room huddled around the coffee table.
My mom looked up at our entrance and her eyes widen when she saw Dimirti.
She was about to start talking but I cut in before she had a chance to.
"Dimirti wanted to change sides. He also told me why he said all those thing to me. If you guys want to know, ask him on your own time. Right now we need to come up with a plan."
They all nodded and turned back to the table. I walked over and sat beside my mom as she started talking.
"Alright cuz the whole guard thing won't work does anybody have any ideas?"
She looked around the table and everyone shook their heads no.
I thought for a minute then a memory came back to me. I looked over at Corey and he seamed half asleep but once he saw me eyeing him he sat up and said "What are you looking at?"
Everyone turned to look at me then Corey and back to me.
I smiled while looking at him and said "I don't think you really want me to answer that."
He rolled his eyes and looked away.
I remembered that day when I was in the meadow and Corey told me that he was a Shape- Shifter. I remembered he could become anything he wanted to.
I looked over at him and asked "Hey Corey can you shape shift into another person?"
He looked at me and said "Yea why?"
I smiled and said "I have an idea and I think it will work."
I turned to look at my mom and said "We can get Corey to shape- shift into a strong guard and he can act like he found me and he can take me to the Dark Queen's palace so I can save my brother Thomas and fight the Dark Queen."
She thought for a moment and said "I think that might work. There's our plan then. Ok everyone lets get some sleep and tomorrow we'll head out."
Everyone nodded and went off to bed. Just me, Jake, and Dimitri were left in the living room.
It was silent for a couple minutes but I decided to break that.
"I'm gonna go check something out so I'll see you tomorrow."
Dimirti nodded and walked over to the couch and laid down to sleep for the night.
Jake just stood there not moving and I walked over to him and whispered in his ear.
"Come on I wanna see something."
He looked down at me and nodded and followed me out the door.
We walked into the night and continued into the woods until we made it into the meadow. I looked up into the sky and could see it full of stars that surrounded the sky from where we stood.
I felt Jake wrap his arms around me as he pulled my close to whisper in my ear.
"I never thought that any creature could be as beautiful as the one I'm standing next to now."
I looked up at him and saw he had a serious look on his face.
I pulled his head down and whispered in his ear.
"I never thought that I'd be standing next to the worlds hottest human, but yet here I am."
He looked at me then pulled my face to his and I felt his lips on mine as he began to kiss me.
He started breathing heavily right off the bat and I decided to joke around with him a bit.
"Well I guess my beauty leaves you breathless then hu?"
I smiled up at him and notice he was looking towards the meadow.
I turned to see what he was looking at but I couldn't see. I turned back to look at him and he was looking at me.
I looked at him and was about to say something when he grabbed my hand and pulled me into the woods.
He was going so fast his grip tightened on my hand and it started to hurt. We finally stopped and I realized we were at the big oak that I sat at so long ago.
I looked at Jake and said "What the hell are we doing here?"
He turned to look at me and instead of answering he walked over to the tree and sat down.
I stood there looking at him but he refused to look at me. So I sighed and walked over to the tree and sat down beside him.
The next thing I know Jake has me laying on the ground and he's half way on top of me. I was about to speak but his lips crashed down on mine and he kissed me with so much passion, I thought that he would leave me breathless. But somehow I was able to keep my breathing even.
He pulled back minutes later and began to trace my jaw line and then his lips made their way to my ear and he whispered to me.
"I have something I want to tell you, but I don't want you freaking out or anything."
I nodded and he continued.
"I know we've only known each other for a couple weeks but I need to tell you now that..."
I heard his hesitation so I simply asked "That what?"
He took a deep breath and said "That I love you Sarah."
My breathing caught and my whole body froze. So many things were racing through my mind that I couldn't think.
I felt Jake raise up to look at my face. I looked at him and saw his face was full of grief but mostly love.
I sat up and wrapped my arms around his neck and whispered in his ear.
"I love you too Jake."
I smiled and kissed him on the lips and pulled back.
He looked at me and we both laid down on the floor of the woods and fell asleep in each other's arms.
