PARK YEBIN
We reserved our seats and walked up to collect our food. Today's menu was Kimchi jigae and rice. I turned to walk back to the table when he gestured for me to come with him.
"Where are we going?" I asked.
He laughed and said,
"You'll see."
I followed him, hesitant to leave the cafeteria due to the food tray being in my hands.
"What about the food?"
He turned around and said,
"The food's allowed out of the room, as long as we bring it back."
We walked towards the elevator and got inside. It was awkward, and reminded me of my own personality. He didn't speak at all whilst being in the elevator. His behaviour confused me. It wasn't like him at all. I followed him towards his dorm and we sat down at the table. He took a deep breath and looked at me. He sighed and his eyes met mine. He looked hesitant, with his words half coming out of his mouth and half remaining inside. The words that made their way out had no sound. He finally mustered up the courage to say,
"What if..."
I was confused.
"What if what?"
He didn't reply to me and began shoving kimchi jigae into his mouth. He did it at such speed, that it worried me.
I looked at him and asked,
"What's bothering you?"
LEE HONG BIN
"What's bothering you?"
Those words went straight through one ear and out the other. I didn't want her to assume that I was breaking our relationship, because I wasn't. I was just concerned about our future. I didn't know what was holding me back from telling her. I didn't know why it was so difficult. Probably because I didn't know myself well enough, or I just didn't know this sort of situation properly.
A man should be a man. That's what we're all told from a young age. We should be tough and we should protect the girls. I wanted to protect Yebin, but the thought of it was overwhelming. What if... I thought. What if...
I looked up at her and she had a look of concern on her face. I questioned why I held myself back. She reached her hand over the table and placed it on my shoulder.
'You've got to tell me what's going on inside of that head of yours.'
I looked over at her meal, which she barely touched. I knew that it was my fault.
'What if the CEO finds out about us.'
She gave a huge sigh and said to me,
'It'll be alright. It's just the fans we have to worry about.'
I was glad she was there for me. She was wise, and sometimes wiser than me. I knew quite well that the CEO would be alright with our relationship, but deep inside, I had a weird feeling about the whole thing. I also trusted byulbit, because they were extremely sensible, and they would take our relationship well. I had faith in Yebin's words, but a the same time, I had doubt in my own.
