Kurt's POV

Lady Gaga's "Bad Romance" blasted me awake the next morning. I was about to smile-then I remembered that I'd be spending today with Kirsten.

I disliked her from the moment she walked into Jeff's room. Maybe it was her adorable good looks. Maybe it was her charming personality. Or maybe, just maybe, it was the way she captivated Blaine's attention the entire time we spent with her. Maybe.

I grimaced and got out of bed. Finn walked down the stairs to my room, still in his PJ's. It was kind of adorable. "Hey, Kurt?"

"Yes, Finn?" I threw him a half smile, half grimace, and stood up to stretch. Finn looked away, not wanting to make me feel uncomfortable.

He smiled at me and pointed at my head once I'd stopped stretching. "You've got a bed head." Once he saw my expression, he clarified. "But that's not why I'm here! Burt-er, Dad, whatever I'm supposed to call him, mentioned something about a new girl?"

I sighed. I'd told my dad about Kirsten, of course. He and I were really close. He didn't quite understand why I hated her so much, but he picked up on the worry for my relationship.

"Yep. Do me a favor-don't be nice to her. Or talk to her. At all." The last thing I needed was Finn falling for her. I sat down at my bouduaire and started combing out my hair.

Finn stood for a moment, looking confused, but then walked over and grabbed my hand to stop me from fixing my hair anymore. Once upon a time I would have been blushing furiously, but that crush was long gone. "Why?" he demanded.

"I think...I think she's trying to steal my boyfriend." I sighed, taking my hand out from his.

Finn actually had the nerve to laugh. "What makes you think that?"

I said nothing, seeing as I had no proof.

"Whatever," Finn laughed again. "Breakfast is almost ready, you might want to hurry up."

I made my way into McKinley Halls High School later that day, already missing my Blaine-a-boo and hoping that Kirsten wouldn't be too annoying today (although she probably would be anyways).

"Kurt!" And here she came, running down the hall wearing some ridiculous outfit. It consisted of some knee high black converse knock-offs, black and red striped tights, shortie-short jean shorts, and a black t-shirt with a faint blue design on it. Her hair was pulled into high dog-ear braids with red bows at the end of them. The smile on her face was huge, however. Maybe she really was scared of new schools.

Perfect.

"Hi, Kirsten!" I said with a fake smile. I looked at the end of the hall, hoping to see Mercedes. Or Tina. I'd even settle for Rachel. ANYONE just so I wouldn't have to face Kirsten alone all day.

"Kurt? Whatcha looking at?"

I looked back at her. She looked almost lost in the glare of the lights. "Just looking for some friends of mine."

"Kurt, I get if you don't like me." She shrugged.

I bit my lip. "Why wouldn't I like you?" I faked surprise.

"Really, Kurt? I saw how you looked at me yesterday. You hate me. Probably because Blaine and I have a history-but it isn't a romantic history. We were best friends since kindergarten. But I guess your real problem with me is David Karofsky-"

I had to stop her there. She looked so dejected and she was making me feel so guilty... "Kirsten, listen. Although I am jealous of your past with Blaine, and I do have a problem with you if you bring David Karofsky over constantly. But I don't hate you. I guess I just...got off on the wrong foot with you. Let's start over?" I offered, giving her my hand.

"Hi there, stranger. I'm Kirsten." She smiled brightly and took my hand.

"Kurt. Nice to meet you."

"...and THEN Aunt Emma looked at me, and then...uhh...oh yeah! She said, 'That is completely normal. Don't mind them.'"

I rolled my eyes. "Wow. I like this side I've never seen of her."

"Yep! Oh, wait! Crap, I have to get something from my locker. You go ahead." I bit my lip. We were on our way to lunch. It turns out that she really IS a good person, it was just a wrong first impression. "Kurt, I'll be fine. Go! Save me a seat!" she called, running down the hall. I waved.

"All right!" And off to lunch I went.

I shouldn't have.

David Karofsky's POV

"New girl, three o'clock," Azimio whispered to me. I smirked and followed his eyes.

"Dude, I know her."

Azimio looked at me. "Is she cool?"

"I think so."

"Then she must...oh gosh, man, check out her company!" I looked over.

Nice way to ruin your image, Kiki. She was jumping up and down excitedly whilst telling a story (it looked like) animatedly to Kurt.

"I sense a slushie victim."

Oh, crap.

Lunchtime. Azimio was watching Kirsten like a hawk. Finally Kurt left her to go to the lunch room and Azimio decided to make his move.

"Yo! New kid!"

She turned around, startled. Her eyes raked over the football team (minus the glee club members) until her eyes found me. She half smiled but when I didn't respond, she sighed and her face dropped.

"Hey, Karofsky! She thinks you're her friend!" Azimio laughed. I faked a laugh with the rest of the group. She looked taken aback.

The first slushie flew. It was bright blue and hit her square in the face.

"Ah!"

Next was red, then green, then more red and blue. Mine was green, and it was the last one.

"David...please?" she pleaded.

I scoffed and dumped the slushie on her head. "Loser."

As we walked down the hall, I heard her sobs. But none of us turned around.

Whoa! That took me a while to write! I'm sorry for the delay, but at least it's up! <3
