This chapter is dedicated to 'microdevil' because she suggested some of the things in this chapter. If you'd like a dedication, leave suggestions of things you'd like me to rant about in the comments.
So I never planned on making this a sequel/book, but who ever plans anything right? I really have to thank microdevil for giving me some ideas for this chapter, because after I wrote this chapter, I was on a roll with writing more and more chapters. I didn't know how much I should write so I figured I'd do 3 pages per chapter :)
The obligatory player guy and the obligatory nerd girl. Question 1) why is the guy always the player and the girl always the nerd? oh.. that's right... because men are apparently supposed to see past looks and love the girl for the inner person. Yet GIRLS don't have to be like that; and instead maintain a superficial standpoint (regardless of the fact that they are a nerd; and constantly stress about how they wished people would see their inner beauty, instead of their exterior). So even though the protagonist cries about how nobody likes her for being a nerd; she either cruelly casts aside the existing nerd boys and goes straight for the slam dunk on the player OR, even better *note sarcasm*, the author just forgets to include the nerd boys altogether.
Maybe authors write about this stuff because it doesn't happen in real life. Maybe it doesn't happen in real life because in reality, the nerd girl only wants to tie a leash around the player because no-one else can do it, not even the 'popular bitches'; and so it gives the nerd girl some weird sense of satisfaction. In theory, this makes the nerd girl as much of a bitch as anyone else. And in real life... nobody likes a bitch .
Super duper long titles. I'm sorry but why? It's not just the title of the story, it's chapter titles too. There was once a story where the writer wrote a PARAGRAPH for EVERY SINGLE chapter title. They were so long that wattpad didn't let them write that many characters in the title, so they had to put the title at the beginning of each chapter. Because authors write titles like 'James and I went to the park and then we had sex and then we went home and then his mum made me fish and custard and it was weird because i don't like fish or custard but we ate it anyway AND i should include some punctuation in this but you know you don't want to make the title really long and punctuation is really long hahaha yolo no not really lol did you notice i didn't put an apostrophe in 'aren't'? haha lol i'm like super clever oh and this weekend i'm going to the park as well so lol maybe i'll meet my own james but we wont use protection because im totes cool like that and then when i get pregnant it will give me a plotline to write another cliche story on wattpad ok lol ttyl babes alright bye'.
They don't realize that that title could have been shortened to 'the park fuck'. Jesus christ.
Stories using text. I just. Ffs I'm so done right now. You know who you're offending the most? The intelligent people that spent centuries perfecting the English language. All of those scholars and I give you, sir, a big 'fuck you' for writing in text-script only.
Fucking grammar. How are you gonna sit there and be like 'I wanna be a published writer' yet you don't know the difference between 'too' and 'to'?! (It wasn't just once. I read a story a little while ago where it consistently happened throughout the story and that's when I realized... it's not a typo, the writer doesn't actually know the difference...) I understand, occasionally typos are bound to happen. But there are those stories where people are like 'oh this hasn't been edited' and you read the chapter and every single sentence has at least one grammar mistake. I don't care what your excuse is, every writer should be proud of their work, proud enough to at least check over the story ONCE before posting it.
