If there is one game I have played more than any other, it's Capture the Flag. We play it nearly every time someone comes over. Used to play it with my brothers and old neighbors back in the day. Here is a poem, written, once again, by 12-year-old me, inspired by this game. (Also acrostic)
Children running.
At the dividing line.
Panting for breath.
Tiptoe into enemy land
Uh-oh! Here comes an enemy!
Running for their flag.
Everyone watching.Time! You need time!
Here comes an enemy with the flag.
Enemy doesn't see you.Flat against a tree, you wait.
Little time before you spring.
Ah-ha! The flag is taken!
Game is won!
