there are clusters of staples on my W-2
on my desk
by the blue
plastic bowl from my Chex
Mix, by the pencils and keys
in the seafoam ceramic tea
cup -- but only the greys
and browns; the colorful ones
are sorted in rays
in the plastic rungs
of my old Rainbow Loom.
There are three pairs of shoes
on the floor of my room;
the rest in my closet. My niece chewed
a hole in the Playpen where my knee-high knit socks
with their little pompoms
hang over its side; I
haven't worn them since that night
when I'd fall into cold
at her feeble cry, to hold
her and whisper 'everything's fine.'[Whaaaat me updating my poetry book??? I'm actually in an advanced creative writing poetry class rn so yah I'll probably be updating this way more often :))]
