she stands among us all so tall
so graceful and so beautiful.
her face she always turns to light,
her back to darkness and the night.
the sun has kissed her on the nose,
and on each cheek in gentle rose.
she stands so tall, and all the while
from head to toe she bears a smile
and over us in kindness bends:
my sunshine-y wonderful sunflower friend
