Christmas
It's become an emotion
An emotion I feel
Only this time of year
It's the feeling
Of warm fuzzy socks
Of hot chocolate
Of big floppy sweaters
Of warm popcorn
And cold sparkling cider
It's the feeling
Of family gathered cozily
Of the sound of crunching leaves
Or crunching snow
Depending on where you live
It's the feeling
Of a cold red nose
And ears
And fingers and cheeks
And the loving hands
That warm them
It's the feeling of hearing songs
Everyone knows
And singing along
Whether it's
Bing Crosby or Frank Sinatra
Or Michael Buble or Pentatonix
They're the same old songs
With the same homey cheery feeling
The feeling of Christmas
It's the feeling
Of love
Of home
Of family
Of friends
Of traditions
Of warmth
It's the feeling
Of Christmas
"All this holiday cheer—heaven knows where it goes, but it returns every year." ~"Peppermint Winter", Owl City
