"What time is it?" I asked them, making pictures with my finger in the dust on the floor.

"It's 5:53, we should hurry up and get to the main dining hall for dinner." Ashley responded.

"Okay, hey Harley, toss me my phone?" I asked, and Harley threw my phone at me, causing me to almost have a heart attack because I had almost dropped it. I swiped away my dust picture.

We all walked to the main hall, finding a cluster of boys to get caught up in a crowd in, almost losing each other. Luckily, since we were the only girls we found each other easily. We sat at the end of one of the several long tables that you would find in a school cafeteria. We sat there talking, making jokes, playing Rock Paper Scissors until Mr. Todd whistled to get our attention.

"Everyone! Attention!" Mr. Todd said, standing onto a table, "As you all know, it's me, your favorite camp leader, Mr. Todd. I'd like to say congrats on joining us for another year at Camp Harrison!"

The room filled with chants, whistles, hollers, and anything else you could expect from 12-15 year old boys (yes, that includes the noises you'd here from boys going through that "sexual noises" phase).

"Okay, okay, settle down now," he said, "I'd like to start off the year by having our staff hand out some pamphlets. Our staff will be passing them around, make sure to thank them. Also, I would like to say, in case you haven't already noticed, we have some female guests with us this year."

All of our faces turned red as every head in the room turned to us. I quickly guarded my face with my hands, gazing around at people. There were stares, smirks, smiles, and just plain looks.

"Please, try to make the ladies feel as welcome as possible. And girls, good luck at Camp Harrison!" The room filled with chants again, and some boys hit our backs (as boys do for some reason), "Boys! Quiet down! Now, that's all for now, the pamphlets will hopefully answer all your questions, if not, feel free to ask. And, well dismiss you to get food by tables."

I let out a deep breath of relief. I hate having attention on me. I'm pretty shy towards boys, let alone a whole camp of them. I've had a boyfriend once, but it was a dumb middle school relationship, if you'd even consider that dating. We didn't kiss, we thought that holding hands was a walk in the wild side, let alone kissing.

"Thank god that was over." I whispered.

"Agreed." Brooke said while the rest nodded their heads in agreement.

After around ten minutes of mindless small talk, we were sent up to get food. I grabbed my plate and got fries and some gravy to dip it in. I went to go grab chips, which another person was at. We both reached for the grabbing kind of thing (you know what I mean) but accidentally grabbed it at the same time.

"Sorry, you go." I said, looking down before I got embarrassed. What? I said I get embarrassed easily.

"Thanks." He chuckled, "So, you're one of the girls?"

"Isn't it obvious?" I joked, looking up at the boy, just noticing how attractive he is. He has a nice tan, a mixture of dirty blonde and light brown hair, and the cutest eyes a girl could have ever seen. And his smile? His smile was contagious. The second I saw it, I couldn't fight the smile forced into my face.

"Sorry, I just didn't know what to talk about." He laughed, "I'm Jacob."

"Paige." I said, still smiling.

"Here, I'm done getting chips. You think this is enough?" He said, pointing to a mountain of chips.

"No, I think I'll get a little bit more than what you got." I said, sort of joking. He still got a lot, but I'm still getting more. I have a love for Ruffles sour cream and onion chips.

"Yeah, I can't blame you. So, how old are you?" He asked.

"Thirteen, you?" I responded.

"Thirteen. Hey, do you want our group of friends to sit next to each other? You know, if you want to. I mean, I do-"

"Sure." I cut him off, "Let me just get a drink."

"Oh, right, duh, a drink. Want me to get you your drink? What do you want?" He asked.

"Aw, that's sweet." I cooed, "But I'll go with you."

"Okay, well I'm getting Hawaiian Punch." He said.

"They have Hawaiian Punch? I want some!" I said, quickening up my pace. After getting our drinks, we sat down with our friends, bringing the two groups together and introducing everyone. He introduced us to Max, Owen, Ethan, and Dustin. They're all attractive, but I like Jacob the best.

Wait-what am I saying? I just met him I don't like him. Just, forget what I just said, okay?
